MLG getting game critiques from TL again.

The LR genuinely does understand the game better than casters. Now obviously Artosis and Day9 probably do realise that Oz was ahead and threw the game away with shit forcefields but for whatever reason they seem to think everyone wants to be lied to so they talk about bullshit like how well Stephano played or other random nonsense when forcefields were the only part of the game which mattered.

The ffs weren't the only thing that mattered, even with good forcefields that push was doomed to fail. Once the sentries are gone via fungal, stalker/immortal will get demolished by ling/infestor. Stephano delayed his tech quite a lot, I'm not sure if he was expecting this push but it seemed like he was because delaying the tech meant he built a lot of low tier units that allowed him to crush it.

Give MC that army in that position and it's gg.

Haha okay... because you do know that. I just said to you that the forcefields didn't matter, he would get overrun in the second wave.

And you serious? Stephano had 55 drones and no bank.

The fact that Stephano had quite a bit of money saved is practically the only thing I took away from the post-game analysis.

Axslav is so fucking smart. It makes complete sense to max out your army a bit more, if your opponent maxes out on lower tech units. I love his analysis.

Yeah i'm gonna start keeping this in mind. If my immortal push does some damage but doesn't kill (lets say it takes out the third) I often don't know exactly when to push in for the kill (I usually do when my second colossus comes out).
I root for Euro Zergs, NA Protoss* and Korean Terrans. (Any North American who has beat a Korean Pro as Protoss counts as NA Toss)

standard pvz lings and infestors into gg.

What? This was not standard at all, Oz opening led stephano to make lot of useless lings but then Stephano put just the right amount of pressure to take the harvester advantage from 41vs47 harvesters to 84vs57 then the game went standard. Stephano's engagements are his strength & no zerg is close to him in this aspect of the game.

The opening from Oz was nonstandard, but everything Stephano did was completely standard. He didn't change up his play 1 bit from what we saw at NASL.

Lol. Are Zerg players really impressed by focus firing? Do they not watch TvP?

Stephano managed to make standard the game vs hero on antiga when his 3rd was denied I guess...

You mean the game Hero had won and basically did the one thing which could completely throw it away?

And this game it's also Oz having game won, forcing 30 early useless lings, & he did the only thing he could to throw it away?

Nah Oz had a lead here, Hero had the game in the bag.

well clearly you are a stephano fanboy and didn't actually watch the game?

To be fair, your initial post was a big generalization and Stephano is definitely an amazing player who clearly doesn't just get by on his opponent's mistakes. But that specific engagement was objectively Oz's to lose, and he lost it. Praising Stephano for that one is like praising a Terran for stimming up a Toss's ramp and winning the game because the Toss missed his forcefield, because that example and what happened in that Oz vs. Stephano game was just the Toss totally bungling crucial forcefield(s).

I think its awesome sometimes.

With Axslav, he really helps add to the game and makes you understand some games better, for example the last one, which was really interesting from a strategic standpoint.

However a lot of previous games had like DJWheat analyzing, or DJWheat and Day9, and even though I love them as casters they just don't understand the game at the level the pros play.

I feel in certain games, they should do the analysis thing, but always make sure to have the high level people analyzing. And only analyzing in certain games, agian.

Stephano had 1000/500. You don't need to a massive bank to make low tier units.

Ye it was a pretty big blunder from Oz, both in terms of missing FFs and actually moving out at all vs that composition.

Oz screwed his FFs but he should never have been out there in the first place. Half the engagement was on creep :/ Assert map control as Protoss? What were you thinking Oz?

Funnily enough, he probably would've won easily if he just maxed before moving out. There's no way Stephano would've had Broodlords, and Lings become a lot worse as the Protoss army gets bigger.

I worry about that a little, i've noticed when protoss are in a "similar-ish" situation vs stephano. On the occasions that they dont move out, stephano doesnt max out on the roach ling he just techs and ends up with a good amount of broodlords by the time the protoss moves out. Stephano just reads protoss very very well in those situations.

use all those bonus minerals to make zealots and zerglings, the worst thing in the 200 supply army for each race?

yes people are saying that

Spines are quite a bad unit especially in pvz. Oh wait.
