The archons, who have splash, do more damage to a line as opposed to the ball. And the Zealots don't get a surround but do more damage too

Makes sense

Zealots do more dmg to a concave, because the line-ish formation has a greater surface. Archons do less dmg vs a concave.

The dmg recieved is probably equal between ball and concave, but the damage dealt and the mobility (due to no surround) is better for the concave. Though the concave is way harder/impossible to maintain during a retreat / kiting.

Well wolf and khaldor like to make fun of creator's obs lost, and this is definitly not the first time he showcases that, so i dont know if its on purpose, but it is still what probably made jjakji lost.

One day there will be a strategy that revolves around purposely making more observers to force scans to dent the terrans economy. Especially with observers now requiring 30 seconds instead of 40 seconds. Imagine 1 scan every 30 seconds.....What a genius.....

Therefore it's a net loss. The archons are the real damage dealers in that army

And the kiting point is moot when Jjakji stood there taking all the hits for the first 10 secs of the fight, only retreating when he lost more than half his army. You either kite from the start, or you spread out for ma DPS for your units/minimal DPS for his. He tried to do both

Woops, didnt have my window maximized, looked the same to me. And I facepalmed at the viking/ghost snipe.

Still, that was pretty much as good an engage as jjakji could have hoped for, yet the wave of warped-in zealots was too much, Terran needs to win those kinds of battles fairly comfortably otherwise they lose the rest of their army to warp-ins and get pushed all the way back to their base.

8:00 - Jjaki has 3 rax (2x reactor 1x tech lab) with the Starport almost finished as Creator's first Colossus and forge finish up. Jjaki snipes Creator's observer forcing Creator to make another one. And another Observer snipe from Jjaki. He does not like Obs.

9:00 - Creator throws down a second forge, hasn't started another Colossus or range. Jjaki starts pushing out with his first two medivacs as combat shields, stim and +1 finishes up. Jjaki spouts the Colossus and starts viking production.

10:00 Creator's twilight council finishes up, charge starts immediately. Jjaki droping in the main but Creator is in position, though jjaki gets a full scout off with a stim marine. 1/1 finishing up for Creator as he switches to Templar tech.

11:00 - Creator immediately morphs an archon upon the completion of his templar archives. Both players are destroying the rocks to their thirds.

13:00 - Storm and charge almost finished for Creator, 2/2 is halfway done. Looks to be preparing for a sick timing before Jjaki has any ghosts. Super heavy marine comp from Jjaki will melt to storms. Jjaki stops making vikings, throws down a ghost academy and starts his third base. Creator also taking his third.

15:00 - Players roughly even in supply, Jjaki starts ghost production and resumes medivac production. Jjaki posturing outside of Creator's third as Creator harasses Jjaki's third with a few zealots.

16:00 - Creator secures his third while Jjaki starts +3 weapons, Cloak and beefs up his third a bit with some bunkers.

17:00 - Creator splits his army and pushes towards Jjaki! Jjaki retreats. Creator seems to have forgotten his 3/3. Creator pushes into Jjaki but he doesn't have any storms! Great EMPS! THE COLOSSUS MELT!

18:00 - Jjaki's reinforcements stop Creator's push right at the entrance to his nat! Creator keeps going though1 The scvs come off from Jjaki!

19:00 - Creator reinforces and his ahead by 60 supply! Force fields Jjaki out of his nat, Jjaki is now stuck in his main. as he pushes toward Jjaki's third.

20:00 Jjaki warping in a ton of zealots and high templar outside Jjaki's vacated third. Creator double the supply of Jjaki.


21:00 - Creator pushes up Jjaki's natural with a ton of well placed storms as Jjaki ggs out.

I just set the window to the side my browser :\. I like looking at the production tabs though, often times casters won't see things that are important (like Jjaki continuing viking production)

It's just like playing the actual game. Keep your eyes glued on the minimap and don't focus on the big sexy battle if you want to know what is happening. *Sadly GOM makes this really hard with their sub HD quality :p

new metagame, mass observers to force scans


If Jjakji was really smart he could've counted the amount of observers and from there deduced that Creator had transitioned away from colossus already, as the robotics facility would be busy.

Also really cool if creator did this particular "obs sacrifice" style against jjakji who likes to make really few scvs.

an other point is that creator used a build which was greedier than the safe standard play from Jjakji. that doesn't help :'(
