i'm sure they will have a good replacement! a bo3 4v4 monobattle between the two teams? =)
Sorry if i missed it somewhere in the thread but I was looking around and can't find when the Starcraft 2 action actually begins? I bought my ticket a while back and am not sure when to show up ^_^.

Now with the showmatch being undone, we may end up shuffling the schedule a slight bit. Expect 4 p.m. local time start, give or take an hour.
This type of decision, as well as the explanations given along with the decision, is one of the many reasons I have not canceled my subscription to IPL yet. You guys are awesome :D
As someone coming for the showdown, I am a bit worried about what will replace the showmatch.
But, as a Starcraft player, it is definitely the right choice to make. Thanks for handling it this way.
May I suggest silly things like a monobattle or a 8-man FFA (or a 2v2v2v2 like the excellent TeamLiquid match)
It would be cute to do a 2v2v2v2 where each team of 2 is one liquid and one IM player. In the spirit of good manners and sportmanship etc.
And the allied chat would be hillarious where they wouldn't understand each other. :D ret: I'll open 3 hatch before pool and then mass up to 90 drones. cover me pl0x. Nestea: *korean characters* ret: ummm, ok. ret: I'll go macro. u defend. Nestea: *more korean characters* ret: ehh.... me dronuuuu, you teugelingu? Nestea: *other korean characters* kekeke ret: kekeke ^^

I love this idea. I'm sure IGN is still monitoring this thread, so I hope they take this into consideration. Having players of the opposite team group up against one another would be awesome.

Ahhh a 2v2v2v2 would be hilarious fun as would some other team games, but I don't know if the players would be up for it. That's my major concern.
Players might want to remain very focused upon the team league at hand.
But if not....get them to play Phantom. Oh hahahaha I'd laugh so much watching a pro FFA where alliances are so key. Didn't MLG do a FFA once upon a time?
