Not saying that ThorZaIN is overrated, but compared to MaNa, he is.
Uh, guys, ThorZaiN actually came out of nowhere in TSL3 to play the world's strongest TvP in ro8 (MinChul), one of the best TvTs EVER (Kas, ro4) and an epic finals with strats and twists and turns and a huuuuuuuge comeback.
MaNa may have been accomplished, but quite literally all achievements of foreign players paled in comparison to ThorZain's gameplay in TSL3 at the time.
This is a silly discussion though. I am sure a major factor in Marcus' decision to go to EG was the option of relocating to Korea, live with the SlayerS and play GSTL.

He was the better player at the time, and still is.

Thorzain knocked out several great Koreans, MC among them at EU latency and MC was considered the best player in the world at the time. That was a ridiculous showing so please stop trying to discredit him.
Funny how thorzain played ace whenever the match was important, I guess mouz don't agree.

So is experience and wisdom. I'm pretty sure Thorzain knows this himself. I'm also pretty sure that if he was serious (which is presumably the case) about his career and GSL/Korea and if it was up to him, he wouldn't have flown in a day before his games and he wouldn't have flown out right after. I hope that he gets to pick his flights and decide on his schedule, but somehow I doubt that will be the case in a foreign team where players' main purpose is to be a marketing vessel and keep showing up in places where a lot of eyes and cameras will be on them and their shirts. And before someone takes this as a dig at EG specifically, right now I have the same opinion about most other foreign teams, including Liquid. That said, Mouz does seem to treat their players the best right now when it comes to scheduling and allowing them time to train, prepare, attend school etc. the problem is, which tournament should he have skipped? -MLG Anaheim? It was the most hyped tournament this year. And skipping that wouldn't give him much more time. -GSL? Nope, he accepted his code S spot, so he has to be there and also even when he fails there, he will still remain in code A and that is good for him, as he will spend much time in Korea after dreamhack. - the Swedish tournament? Nope, and good that he didn't, as he got 1st place there and won 10'000 $ while playing for dreamhack at nearly the same time. -Dreamhack? not a good idea, as he is already in sweden and when he plays there for the Swedish tournament, he can also play in dreamhack. And because he wanted to defend his Title. so which tournament should he have skipped? pretty hard decision. What tournament was this?

Both players (Thorzain, Mana) won alot and I think theirs progaming career are very comparable.

It's not really the best player lineups, but 10'000 $ is worth fighting for

So where are the VODs?
Final was too late for every EU-people who has to work on a tuesday...

Why are people making it sounds like there's bad blood between Mana and Thorzain? Knowing them, they're probably congratulating each other on their tournament wins this weekend.

Can someone source where Thorzain said he was the best player and didn't have anyone to compete with, this is the first time Ive heard it and its from someone who obviously has some kind of vendetta against Thorzain and EG. Thanks.

So You can do a roach banneling bust every game and everytime protoss put forcefields to survive, you just destroy them with roaches and roll the banes, for example?

That's a bit far on the slippery slope. It would mean Protoss would have to scout an all-in ahead of time instead of mostly relying on having a sentry behind buildings to forcefield. The forcefields will still help slow down the attack and funnel the units for easy pick offs. Then it would be up to the Protoss to make sure the forcefields and buildings absorb the brunt of the baneling damage, and then use their units to kill the remaining follow ups.
