Removing strike cannons along with thor energy would be enough I think. Feedback not hurting massive would also do it. Yeah , no wonder high level terrans don't use higher tech units when there is feedback. At the very least they could tweak it a little bit. T just needs a slight encouragement to begin experimenting with other stuff. I mean, how realistic is it that high templar , who is some kind of priest , manages to short-circuit a mighty space ship with psionic abilities? What kind of crappy space ship engineer designs their battlecruisers anyways...
Well they dont short-circuit the system, but burns away the energy in a damaging way. Thats a bit different story. Templars capable to bend reality with their own will, burning away pure gathered up energy shouldn't be that far.
But balance wise i agree they should do something, still i dislike Thor itself, with its current ability, nothing can counter it other than the templar

I find it rather satisfying since all the utterly overrated, fanboyism-blessed players got annihilated real hard. In fact it's one of the more entertaining GSL quarterfinals for me

Oz and Supernova aren't even that popular, and Taeja is hardly known for having rabid fanboys that players like Hero, MKP, or Stephano have. Unless you were talking specifically about Naniwa...

Removing strike cannons along with thor energy would be enough I think. That would actually be pretty smart. Me likes. That won't change anything. Yes, thors being immune to feedback will be helpful, but immortals are just too good against them. As long as Blizzard keeps enforcing their current counter system, mech will never be a viable option vs P.
The threat of immortals can be mitigated by emp. Trust me, I used to play a lot of mech in TvP before the hellion nerf and immortals were never a huge problem. If you play a solid mech style with alot of tanks and use ghost vs mass immortals, their shields will be gone or almost gone before they are in range of thors and tanks.
I think Terran Sc2 mech needs to be played a lot differently than in BW. Then you could rely on the ridiculous firepower of tanks.
In Sc2:WoL Terran mech will have to rely on huge "meatshields" like the Thor.
That is why feedback fucks it up, imho.

In which segment of the game is Squirtle better than HerO specifically? PvP, obviously. I love Hero, but there's not really any case for him being better than Squirtle in PvP. PvP is a matchup, not a segment of the game. -_- What is Squirtle specifically better at, skill wise? Timing attacks and better understanding of the match-up. When it comes to mechanics and multitasking, Squirtle can basically sit down, it's not even within the realm of possibility that he can match HerO in those. And that's not something you can learn in a week either. I know you're a massive liquid fanboy, but you're speaking completely out of your ass rofl. Not to mention that Talin conveniently ignored my mentioning of Squirtle's PvZ, which involves Squirtle doing stuff all over the map in ultra-lategame scenarios. Maybe he should address that point instead of conveniently ignoring it. Yup looks like someone didn't watch the IPL4 replays. =D People like Talin give players a bad name, and it is sad to see sometimes. I don't consider IPLs and MLGs all that relevant due to the format/density of games being played and no prep time, but I have seen it and it wasn't anything that a lot of Protoss don't do anyway, and certainly not something that HerO doesn't do a lot better (especially considering it's PvZ). I'm prepared to get myself banned from TL if HerO doesn't dismantle Squirtle in every game that's not a straight up BO win (DT rush or Oz's nexus first from yesterday). And do tell how format/density/prep time has ANYTHING to do with multitasking, which you keep claiming Squirtle lacks? I'm just gonna reiterate what Asha said: You're talking out of your ass.
Because those tournaments are usually about which player is in the best shape for the weekend after days of traveling, whereas most players don't really end up playing to the best of their ability (including mechanical ability) throughout the tournament. It's too easy for one player to look really good while the other one looks really bad.

I'm guessing the balance whine was high in this thread?
And Talin, while Hero is certainly capable of beating Squirtle, your an idiot if you don't think that Squirtle is on his level. Hopefully they'll show some good PvP (double immortal speed prism play please!)

I read that Vileillusion is experimenting with Ghost Mech compositions lately, maybe that will become a thing if the current trend of bio gets crushed in the late game continues.

So, if Squirtle is multitasking like a beast and other players aren't playing well, it suddenly means that his good multitasking somehow doesn't mean anything? Your logic is so twisted that it's difficult to even argue with you.
Anyway, I think Hero is perfectly capable of beating Squirtle, but by stats alone, Squirtle is quite favored.

WTF? I went to lunch after HerO won (YAY!) and come back and it's over allready. .

Very entertaining. The players who lost got one, all combined, whereas in the other 12, they put up way sub-par fights. Or no fights at all.
I would definitely prefer so see the fanboyism-blessed players and closer bo5s.
The top 4 should be ok though. Hoping MVP doesn't get roflstomped, but still expecting an all-Startale finals.

Hero!!!! <3 <3 <3 gogogo! PvP against Squirtle will be tough, but you can do it!

No, they need to fix protoss... its a cake race and now that some people actually put some time into learning builds etc, you end up getting 5 of the final 8 being protoss and 3 of the final 4 being protoss... how can you not have a PvP final when you make it that easy for them during the rest of the tournament?

Last season's RO8 was pretty one-sided as well.
