Don't we already have the GSL for that? Viewers want exiting story lines involving players they can relate to. Upsets, disappointments, rivalries... It's just harder to relate to yet another superb Korean player. Who can tell apart Ganzi or Heart by looking at their answers in an interview? Hardly anyone, because it's just harder to get a handle on their personalities, due to the language and culture gap.

DH has live viewers, a much bigger cast of players (128), a bigger prize pool and arguably better streaming. MLG has only 8 players, kinda glitchy streaming and a much smaller prize pool (though admittedly, the players are bigger names). How does the DH business model work? Are ads and sponsors that good for DH? O_O Try hosting an event in the USA, IPL is already in the red.

We all love SC2, there are two tournaments on at the same time thanks to the popularity of SC2. I am just glad there is so much content to watch and choose from. I personally think it's completely worth the $10, but others just don't even consider paying for MLG while another great tournament is on and I don't blame them. If these tournaments had better communication and would organise a bit better at the start of the year to avoid conflicted and overlapping MAJOR tournaments, I think it would be better for everybody involved, especially the viewers. Edit: Woo DRG vs MKP rematch number three! Thank god someone has some sense.

Our #s are quite good We did very well this weekend and will have 32 of the best players for Arena 2 on May 18-20. This has been a great weekend for MLG and for the players. Outside of the bad kick offs to the days (and we're not happy about this at all and are talking extensively to Twitch to make sure it never happens again), I feel like we put on a pretty awesome show. For the hours we were on, there was virtually zero down time, even with no ads being served. I hope you guys liked it!

Edit: Woo DRG vs MKP rematch number three! i completely agree, while i am comparing them, i by no means think only one should exist, ive watcxhed a lot of both dh and MLG this weekend. I just chost MLG over DH this time, it is unfortunate as you say, DH normally has a sick player line up but because of MLG and whatever other reasons, this DH lineup was not the best. but as you say, there is no rivalry. the head of MLG tweeted he was watching both MLG and DH this weekend.

Think so? I know that if there weren't a lot of Korean players at the tournament I wouldn't watch it, because I want to watch the best players play. I also know I'm not alone on that.
