I'm not angry at MKP/Prime, i'm not even angry at the GOM referee(although I disagree with the decision), but these finals became a joke after the disconnect.

I like MKP and sometimes things just favour you and you take your chances.

It was simply unfair to regame, it shouldn't have happened. It isn't like they were rolling dice or anything. Protoss in your production with zealot archon is gg. There were no archons and you think you know better then Korean pro referees?

Three rax with 2 tech labs are sure to be destroyed, or at best not be producing usable for quite some time. There's a warp prism going towards the base with Parting having the money to warp in a ton of stuff inside MKPs base. The food was 110 vs 145 with MKP having at most 21 food of units in production. 110 - 71 (SCVs) - 12 (Vikings) - 6 (Marauders) = 21 food in production. And that's counting the two out of three rax that Parting was destroying at the time, probably were producing Marauders as they had tech labs. Seems pretty unwinnable to me. Parting had 200 minerals at the time of the drop, he couldn't warp in. There were vikings to greet that warp prism. Heh.

Also, weren't there vikings taking care of that prism? Yeah sorry i misread that. 250/550 minerals/gas. But with the amount of bases running the money surely would be enough when the warp prism deployed.

The game was basically over, no real way that MKP comes back from this. So sad that the regame decision won prime the tournament. In my opinion ST has the much better roster after taking down MKP...

Actually when the game dropped i saw at least 3 vikings flying close to the 3 "proxy" rax and the warp prism was already way past them flying towards the back of the base. Also those viking were being shot down by stalkers...

However, bitching about this isn't why I am here. I am here to ask a question. I thought a much about what decision could be made in that situation - something not in the rulebook, something just for a situation like this. Here is what I came up with, please state your opinions on it.: For me, the best decision would have been - 1 - both players lose their spots and can't be picked up 2 - result stays the same 3 - the team, which was in the disadvantageous position states who their next player will be 4 - the other team then picks their player and the map

It sucks to see a situation like this because the finals are now tainted forever and who knows what would the outcome of the match be if parting got the win. Hopefully we see a reconnect feature from blizzard in the future.

For the sake of discussion, what if it was BboongBboongs vs Parting and the DC happen? taking out both BB(who is a "less skilled" player) and Parting (who is a key player for ST)? Wouldnt be that fair for ST.

And if he pulled SCVs he would be even further behind as he would lose mining time, long term economy, AND the three rax+tech labs that Parting was destroying right when the game dropped. As i calculated earlier, MKP could be building 21 food at max and 2-4 of that were in the rax that Parting was camping. 19-17 food is like 4 marauders and 9 marines, or perhaps 2 medivacs and 4 marauders 5 marines, still a weak force tbh.

Terran bio forces are best v Protoss (esp w/o AOE) in those small numbers though. You can't just compare numbers assuming linear scaling.
