Oh yeah, outside of PvP?

Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks!

Different players can take different periods of time to peak than others. "different metas" simply refers to that present state of Sc2 requiring different skill sets than WC3. It's entirely possible that if the meta shifted sufficently so that the average game length/micro became more like warcraft 3's, presumably from an expansion/innovative build, then it may improve grubbys chances. Not that im saying that is likely to happen.

I would say Socke and CrazyMoving are lower tier opponents. Hell, even DRG said he was the best player he played in his group. Oh fuck it I don't care if I'm biased, UK FIGHTING! (holy crap there's no US players left!)

Hmm, is it just me or does it seems that this thread isn't as active as some other past LR threads. I remember nearly every IPL 3 LR thread was close to 1k pages, and the LR thread for MLG Columbus last year broke 1400 pages This has been a pretty average MLG tbh, no real drama to speak of and no real dark horses to cheer on from the open brackets. Going to suck even more if we have no foreigners in the late stages.

Just because both played Wc3 does not mean they need to be equally good at sc2, what kind of logic is that? I'm pretty much unbeatable in tic-tac-toe, solid in roshambo and decent at hide-and-seek. Somehow still haven't broken through in Starcraft 2 somehow. :/ Again I am not making the assumption that the skills will be carried over when one switches over from 1 RTS (WC3) to another (SC2) I was just listing that the fact they were both WC3 pros to make a contrast which was central to my question. I guess all things being equal Naniwa just trains waaaaaaaay harder than Grubby. Practices makes perfect in SC2 like everything else in life.

Yeah can you believe how lucky Huk gets? He deserved to get banned from progaming for being so lucky. /sarcasm off The Huk hate is astounding really, even Deezer doesn't get this much hate.

Not that im saying that is likely to happen. I think people just think his play is sub par. No one is saying he has to be the best in the world but his Play against select was pretty sloppy. Storms that required a relatively low level of skill (compared to the skill required to counter) were the only thing that kept him in it.

Select has probably the best foreign TvP - and he had 5 strong koreans in his group. hes just one of the better foreigners, not more for now. he is a rly "slow" learner he said himself compared to other players. Watch at Tyler, the BW "star" from the foreigners and how early he got knocked out - give ppl time, at the end of the year, we will see how good ppl get ![]()
