Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks! |
Does anyone else miss the hotpocket and dr pepper commercials?

I stopped watching Halo a while ago (Reach is terrible) but well when you're down 49-45 and suddenly you kill the entire team to tie it at 49-49, the crowd goes insane. Hasn't been a game that good since early H3. Well it was also the biggest team in Halo against a team people have been hyping to win this event putting on 5 close games so at the end the crowd was going to go nuts. That too, Instinct has a ton of fans. But I think the crowd would've gone nuts regardless of it being Instinct or not. Haven't watched Halo in a while (yeah Reach does suck) but that sounds insane. Especially been disconnected to it cause I haven't really paid attention since the H3 days. Still a big fan of pistola though (have been since before he broke out with TD in H3). Hope he does well. If Reach dies after this MLG season I hope they'll pick up Halo 4 anyway, from what I've heard from my friends in the scene 343 has done good things with Reach (allowing removal of bloom, etc.) so I think they could do an even better job with it than Bungie. Yeah I've been pulled away from SC2 for a bit to watch the series so that says something. But if the Halo crowd keeps this up it'll start rivaling the SC2 crowd in intensity and it won't be dropped until 4 comes out. I just hope H4 is like the originals, not Reach. What changed in Halo: Reach? I don't know anything about it, but I find it hard to believe a console FPS game can change all that much. Personally the game was just boring, bloom made the shooting not fun, sprint/equipment meant shit players could run away from battles they were losing, the maps were all shitty, armor lock made shit stupid, default movement was so slow so if you didn't sprint you moved like molasses. Just all the little things were significantly worse.

I've missed the first day and a half of this tourney and feel like I've missed nothing. Blah blah blah koreans blah blah HuK blah Naniwa blah blah. A little interesting to see some new faces in the upper bracket though but they're just gonna get crushed 2-0 in lopsided matches. MLG should really be an NA tourney imo, does everyone really want to see the same 8 korean players or so who are well funded crushing through a bunch of fodder? Championship sunday is seeming more and more like the only point to these things.
(okay sorry for being a cynic but I've had a bad day)

I'm more impressed that he can juggle studying there with being a sick nerd baller. Genuinely no clue how he does that, unless they've given him some kind of sabbatical leave from study to play?
AND he did it while winning the super tournament

What changed in Halo: Reach? I don't know anything about it, but I find it hard to believe a console FPS game can change all that much. Bloom, equipment, no BR, etc. Not to mention the maps Bungie made were pretty bad. It just wasnt fun at all. It was boring, especially the maps. What's Bloom? In FPS games you have the target built in, well with bloom there is a circle that expands when you move or shoot, meaning your accuracy goes down. So if you shoot you have to wait for your circle to get small again to shoot or you'll miss. Works in Shadowrun, but not Halo.
That's not bloom, that's a dynamic crosshair... and that's in every FPS game that's good, other than Quake.
Bloom is with the graphics, it created a little outer glow around models that softens the outside.

why are they playing so much dubstep all of a sudden? GOD

So impressive even Polt can't do it, he's taken a year out to play SC2.

God if Grubby loses I will be super super sad, I am not a terribly big fan of him but Jesus Christ being in a group with someone who got Ro4 in Code S this season(aLive), someone who got Ro8 in Code S this season(PartinG), someone who got Ro4 in Code S the previous season and is revered for his incredible PvP(Oz) then another Code S player(Stc) and then Rain who is a really good player anyway!

This is some of the most mediocre dubstep i've heard in a while

Ok, now I can go to sleep. No offence Grubby but all those losses must have teared on your self-confidence. I think that Select will take it easily.
Hopefully I'm wrong, but on the other hand if Grubby does win I will be so mad at myself for mssing out on it. XD
Gnight. Really? Grubby is getting pretty good. He is getting smashed by Code S level players but Select is far away from that. seleCT's TvP is fantastic, by far his best match up. It's GSL calibre, maybe not Code S but definitely Code A worthy. oh come on ... statements "Code A worthy" are just wrong ... you can never know unless you play there He won a TvP in Code A

Creator is so overrated. People keep acting like he's a top toss when every Code S Toss is better than him.

Select did play in Code A and won the first round, but that was a few months back

You're right, I'll just let you sit here and watch what I mean.
I'm totally making this up how good seleCT's tvp is.
