Please have some respect for the players, teams, and tournament. Criticism is fine, criticism without anything to back it up isn't so cool. Thanks! |

I dont think EG, or any other proteam would willingly give up an advantage like that in such an important match.
I don't think cheesing players better than you is that sad, but obviously I'm not ecstatic about beating him in that way. Game 2 my mouse was glitching so I was tilted and just went all in. zzzz when White-Ra missed a game at MLG by such a large margin that he was given a walk over loss then when he and his opponent met in the losers bracket his opponent forfeited two maps to him to make it fair. Yeah, but that's white-ra vs some no-name. What the guy did was great but he was no pro with a chance for pool play. Completely different situation. A no name with a 12 page TL fan club http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=249635Here's Ostojiys: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/search.php?q=ostojiy&t=t&f=56&u=&gb=date&d= A 12 page fanclub he got after he gave white-ra those walkovers >_> What are you even trying to argue here, that Ostojiys should have just rolled over and not take the freewin because he has a small fanclub?
Going to go off a bit on one here but in case you haven't noticed unless you are stupidly, stupidly good at this game you need to be likeable.
PuMa probably doesn't give a damn when people moan about him on TL for 1/1/1 as there are only 4 more people on the planet who have earnt more money by playing this game.
White Ra is likeable and got voted to play a $5000 show match against Stephano where he earned $1,000 just for losing. In that same week IEM let him play in their tournament even though he couldn't make the finals due to said show match and he picked up another $600 there just for competing.
Destiny, Incontrol and Nony are good personalities and get invited to many invitationals which they may not make on merit, such as HSC for the former two and Lone Star Clash for all of them, I believe at least two played in the first ONOG invitational also.
So, to conclude. Unless you are actually one of the absolute best players at this game then it's better for you personally to actually be likeable than not. Is Ostojiy going to get Top 16 this MLG and win money? If there was anywhere I could bet money that this wouldn't happen I would do it.
What has he gained from this? He hasn't gained fans and he hasn't gained money. Many people, me included, now don't think he's not very sporting as he stated he had the chance to play a full bo3 with PuMa and declined it.

Sorry, but I just don't agree with this at all. It's just not true. The larger proteams, who have positive management relationships with each other, very rarely, if ever, force forfeits. If Scott from It's Gosu had been present at the event, I seriously doubt this would've happened. We have a great relationship with him and generally, management from different teams look out for each other. One thing we in the EG camp are wondering is, why did WBC wait until after the first map had already been forfeited to go and get Puma? Everyone knew that we were scrambling around, searching for him (because we legitimately didn't know where he'd gone), and then WBC went and found him right away. I think it's fair to ask if WBC knew where he was the entire time, or just happened to find him after the first map was forfeited. It's an unpleasant but fair question. From reddit. I really think Alex Garfield is a scumbag. Did he just accuse the person who WENT AND FOUND HIS PLAYER for him, so that his players didn't get completely DQ'ed, for purposely trying to get him DQed? What a dirty fucking accusation. wow holy shit garfield is going off the rails lol what is he trying to get at here TSL.EG partnership please, alex and coach lee can dominate world.

If WBC had just waited and not called Puma at all, he could have assured Ostojiy's place in the pools as opposed to still risking him lose to Puma. It's such a stupid accusation.
The more I think about it the more it makes me mad....
What is wrong with that guy.

EG starting to sound very classless, especially after scoot gave such a good interview about EG and esport.

This event is huge, EG's entire SC team is there as well as Justin Wong, do you really expect them to babysit everyone at all times during the tournament? I get that you just want to blindly hate on EG, but you make no sense. Puma was probably off hanging out with some of his Korean buddies , if their opponent knew where he was but just sat back so he could get an easier game thats pretty fucking lame.

This is what I love about this community, as soon as Alex posted that on reddit everyone was "I hope he dies on stage because of what he did to puma" but after everyone cooled and some other opinions raised now everyone is against Alex.
Bipolar community.
