Ok well hopefully SOMEBODY will clear up alex's big blog and how this relates to Idra. I'm sorry you couldn't help out.

Thank you NASL for giving more money to Koreans and making foreigners look like noobs. Looking forward to seeing more of the same in season 3. GG

Yeah, its not the same. Nani threw a meaningless game. Idra threw a meaningful game.
You can argue how Nani was not even trying. But especially Idras 2nd sixpool is really no difference. Alive even called him out on that and Idra left once he saw the wall-in.

It's worse than Naniwa in my opinion. Naniwa probe rushed in a meaningless game. Idra 6 pooled twice, essentially throwing the game away twice, in a series where he stood to make a guaranteed $100. He got paid for pretty much just showing up, while Naniwa made nothing for his outburst.
Yes, I know Xeris said Idra gave the money back, but the principle is the same. Would he have done it if there weren't a public outcry? I doubt it.

Let's be honest here. Even if Idra did try, it would have still been a clean sweep and most probably just as bad games

Naniwa was paid to attend that tournament; he wasn't there for free. Knowing that, both situations end up being rather similar (both players just phoning it in since they were going to be paid anyway). Whether one is worse than the other, I guess is up to one's opinion. I honestly don't care which is worse; I'd prefer if things like this never happen at all.

Nani was out, he couldnt advance and win more money (so was Nestea). In previous cases (up&downs) GSL didnt play out meaningless matches. Thats what annoyed Nani. Idra could still win.

These threads prove day[9] wrong when he says the sc community is a good bunch. The idea of how you should act is so strong with too many people ... and in a multinational community ... makes me want to puke ...

I know; I didn't say that one or the other was somehow better. I just wanted to dispute the idea that Idra threw the games away because he was gauranteed money anyway. I am not defending him, just wanted it to be clear that their situations, at least in terms of being paid, were similar. Obviously Idra still had a chance to win while Nani only had pride to play for so again it's up to you which is worse.

So because nobody really agrees with you we are all a bad bunch. Funny how that works.

Idk about you guys but I was really excited to watch this show match. I have little "free" time. With that free time I don't play SC2 I watch SC2. IdrA always has a place in my heart but man does he need some help with his professional impetus. The first 3 games are the reasons IdrA has stated the game is off kilter.
It's sad to see a player with such an unique view of the game being beat down by himself more than the game.

Yeah honestly, there is SO MUCH sc2 being broadcasted every night. When I heard that Idra was facing Alive, I even made my gf sit through it. Well she was happy...it was over quicker than it began. Never felt so robbed of my time. I feel terrible for the NASL and all the other tourny organizers who have to put up with these sc2 divas as they really give the scene a black eye. I was already not big on idra due to his behavior but I really wanted to see what he was capable of vs a top 3 terran on equal server footing. I was rooting for him to win it an somehow make me a fan again but damn it never felt so bad to be so right. SO once again, why should I bother watching idra next time hes featured in anything with everything else that is broadcasted daily?

Really? Should've just stopped at 'IdrA knows it's wrong...'
Because: 1) Who cares if NASL or Fnatic called for an apology? What does that have to do with anything? 2) You're right. It's worse than what Naniwa did.

Leave EG and incontrol alone. EG is a classy organization, and I would not at all be shocked if idra finds himself without a team soon if this pattern of behavior continues.

One year ago you'd have the occasional Idra early gg but he was still playing well in general. Now if you watch the last 20 Idra's games, they're all the same bullshit.
His fans trying to rationalize all of this is what hurting the most imo. So Idra was right to do that because aLive 11/11'ed him ? And what about every single zerg, even foreign ones, who manage to not die from this and bring the game to the mid or late part ? What about every single zerg except Idra knows how to defend from the hellion build ? If you replace Idra with someone like even Destiny, the first 2 games will go at least to the midgame. Nobody but Idra dies to this. Losira often loses his hatch to the 11/11, he's notoriously bad at defending it, but he still win the game a good % of the time after losing his hatch.
Last year Idra had the skill excuse, now he's one of the worst players in the scene skill wise. He doesn't realize how lucky he is to be able to live in the Slayers house. This guy is a disgrace. Best post in the thread.
sigh ... It isn't hard to imagine someone like Destiny making a game of it.
