While I think the forum has greatly overreacted, I still wouldn't shy away from calling naniwa's behavior disrespectful to Gomtv, fans, and other professionals.

If anything it is disrespectful of Gom to make players play worthless matches. There was no reason at all for that game to played. After that a bunch of forum people start complaining like there is no tomorrow. And you talk about professionalism? In what sport does a player or a team send out their a-team to play a match that doesnt matter???

We see this behaviour in every sport almost so I really dont understand the mass of haters.

Uhum? In every sport teams play matches that "doesn´t mean anything" but the pride in winning. That´s the very foundation of all sports. You seriously think the teams in the football world cup play to win some prizemoney? Even if a crappy team loses all their games they will still fight like crazy to take at least one win with them home, to show their fans that they tried their very best. You obviously don´t watch sports, or at least doesnt understand it.

Since you bring up football we can compare it to champions league. Last stage of group play when teams are already qualified you always see teams change their entire line-up for reserves. I guarantee you they don't do it for the fans....

I think you´re missing the point. The "reserves" play to win. In fact they want to win really bad. It´s the COACH that realizes he need to save the best players for the later stages. The coach knows the players will play to win every game, so he has to make the decision for the players.

Yes but the reserves play to win because they want to show his coach and other teams how skilled they actually are so they can get more playtime. If NaNiwa was like, ok this "b-teamer" toss in startale can play instead of me because he wants to get known then that guy would play his heart out.
