Definitely. When that shit happens on ladder I tend to throw down four of every possible defensive structure IMMEDIATELY... and I still lose to dumb shit a lot. I just hate that you have to do so much guessing and if you're wrong you lose.

It's the same in TvP. You basicly can't scout what 1 base play it is (or even if he's just expo-ing) before your observer is out and by the time it gets to their base the all-in might already be coming your way and it's too late to prepare properly.

I think the fact that code s is full of terrans come from the BO1 format, because terran has so many options to allin or cheese.. And zerg is the reactive race, but you are more able to react to opponent play in a BO3 than in a BO1

You say he saved the OV like a good zerg, but he lost the game because he didn't push in and suicide it. If he would've gotten the intel with a suicide OV, he just would've won on the spot. He needed to push that OV in, he would've clipped the sight of the Starports without dying to those marines. If he was that desperate to not lose the OV, he could've scouted from a different angle. He gathered no intel because he got too greedy with his OV, and he lost because of it.

Edit: I'm not saying this is easy scouting, but SC's building position made it possible.

No, because 3rd adn 4th of the group are seeded into different stages of loser bracket. So he will have to play the third game to determine whether he goes into round of 48, where a loss means Code B, or into round of 32 where a loss means up and down matches.

I disagree, terran should be defending against scouts all the time, it could be anything inside.


usually there's one or two, but six he's definately hiding something he really, really doesn't want you to see. And still on one base means an all-in follow up, i think he should have just sacced it just on the off chance he'd see something - which this case he would have seen exactly what was up.

That was a dumb analysis.

First of all, Day9 didn't lose because he didn't even partake in an actual discussion right then. His answer was that he'd need more information before he could definitively deduct anything.

Also, saying that one game showed something correct is laughable.

The only thing this game showed us that Nesteas OL was millimeters from scouting the starports because they were close to the edge, and he spotted the banshees very early but didn't react properly.

You need to be slapped.
