eXe European Starcraft Open #2

Who likes money? Everyone? Excellent.
Who likes Starcraft 2? Everyone? Fantastic.

The eXe Community is glad to present the second round of our Starcraft Open Tournament series, starting in Europe!

Below you can find all the details you need about the tournament, including dates, times, prize-pool, map pool, rules, the signup page, and more.

Format: 1v1 Starcraft 2, Single Elimination Tournament

When: Saturday November 5
Time: 9am PT / 12pm ET / 18:00 CET

Registration: http://www.z33k.com/z/a8e

Prize Pool: $200 via PayPal

Map Pool (1st Map Set each Round, No Repeats):
+ Show Spoiler +
MLG Metalopolis
Shakuras Plateau
MLG Shattered Temple
MLG Tal’darim Altar
Antiga Shipyard
MLG Dual Sight
MLG Xel’Naga Caverns
GSL Daybreak
GSL Terminus SE

Rules:
+ Show Spoiler +
- You must play with the Race and Battle.net ID that you signed up with.
- You must contact your opponent on IRC or Battle.net to play your match.
- You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match, anyone that is not present after 15 minutes will get a disqualification. Contact an admin if you are unable to play.
- No observers are allowed in-game other than casters and/or tournament admins.
- Those who are listed as one of the official livestreams are always allowed to stream your game. When in doubt, check the list of streamers below.
- After the match has been played, both winner and loser must report the result and upload the replay.
- For matches that are Best of 3 and 5, the first game is decided through a set map process. After the first game, the loser picks a map from the Map Pool listed below. Each map can be played on only once.
- In the case of disconnects in the first 4 minutes of the match, it will be restarted if there was no first-opponent-contact. The participants have to involve a referee if the problem appears frequently. If a participant disconnects after 4 minutes into the match, it is the choice of the opposing participant whether the match will be restarted or not. A referee has to be informed in any case!
If the disconnected participant obviously won the match, the replay must be uploaded to a referee who then will decide whether the match will be restarted or not. For the rematch participants have to choose the same races as in the first match. In the case of random races participants have to choose the race that was chosen by the game in the previous match.
- Pauses : players must give prior warning before pausing the game for whatever reason. If players abuse their pausing they will be disqualified.

Livestreams and Casting:
+ Show Spoiler +
- Team eXe Livecasters (www.justin.tv/teamexesc & www.justin.tv/exevision1)

The following are the only people who can contact you about casting and invite cocasters to your game:

Evisk / Ghostly

Decoy / GreedyFarmer

Representatives from these two streams are the only observers you may have in your game apart from approved tournament admins and referees. You may not invite your friends, family, classmates or housepets to observe your games.

You may stream your own games at your own risk, if you so wish.

Where are all the masters?! It's no fun giving money away if there's no big brawl for it!

I think you are too early. Check in starts 30 minutes before the tournament begins. So that's in about one and a half hour (90 minutes).

all the Info on http://www.z33k.com/starcraft2/tournaments/3737-exe-european-starcraft-open-3

in the Event Details Section

The main channel on battle.net, were you can find your opponent, will be "eXe Open" and admins will be sitting in "eXe queries" if you have any problems.

Hello everyone!

STRainbow's comments:

hitBOX: thanks exe
exe so kind
gl
i go to rest
You (Apoth): well deserved

GLCheesyJunk's comments:

GLCheesyJunk: the tournament went really smoothly for me
well i g2g, your tourney was great and ill surely join you guys next time

I'd like to thank all the casters, streamers, admins, viewers, basically everyone who was involved to make this amazing event happen. Special thanks go out to Vinge & Misk who helped set everything up behind the scenes, and the two Z33k admins who helped us out with out battle with the Z33k tourney site.

We had at least 15 members apply from this tournament, and hopefully through them and the 300+ people watching we an spread the awesomeness and "kindneess" of our community that we spoke of, and spread esports to the massive industry we all know it can be.

Great job everyone, I couldn't be happier or prouder of you all, especially LurkingLarva, our eXe Hero who narrowly lost to the ladder beast Hjop in the Ro16, an amazing feat by anyone's standards.

Well, I'm shattered, so I guess we've just got to start planning for the next one, and the NA Open in a few weeks!

Much love <3
