But the format shown in liquipedia page doesn't account for any Gom invites, so I thought only GSL players seeded in the top 16 already would be flown in by gom? And even if Mvp got flown in he'd have to play in the open bracket? Because there's nothing in the format that would allow him to get seeded in

I was very impressed with HuK today. I was rooting for Boxer even while he was knocking out so many foreigners, but at the end of the day I did want IdrA or HuK to take it. Well, Jinro would have been my first choice

After MKP beat Idra, he played Huk and MC and lost both games. If Idra had won, that would have been him, which would have put him in fifth place instead of fourth. Fifth place pays $1,000 and fourth pays $1,400.

Well, he did have to go through Boxer, Hongun and bomber, so you cant really say that he won 400 dollars over mkp just because of losing to him, that sounds a bit ridiculous to me.
