But the format shown in liquipedia page doesn't account for any Gom invites, so I thought only GSL players seeded in the top 16 already would be flown in by gom? And even if Mvp got flown in he'd have to play in the open bracket? Because there's nothing in the format that would allow him to get seeded in http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/2011_MLG_Pro_Circuit/Providence Except for the combo of jetlag + playing loads of game = fatigue, I don't see MVP having any issues just cruising through the open bracket. It's still stupid for a champion of one of the tournaments in the pro circuit doesn't get automatic seeding into the big finale. Those are the rules. Making an exception would be stupid and unfair. Mvp prioritized (and rightfully so) GSL over MLG, thats why hes not here, no one should blame him or the MLG organization here.

If that's true, then koreans will ALWAYS be on top, because everybody will just call the best foreigners korean, regardless of where they practice, just because they adopt the korean method of training. True. The whole "discussion" is stupid but you can't jsut make people korean at a whim. Also HuK is soo short next to plott brothers and co. The discussion, as it were, is a silly argument over semantics, which only occurs because people are not willing to look at what's really being discussed. What we learned from this tournament is - 1. "Korean" (ie dedicated, full-time) training is what makes the difference between Koreans and foreigners. it's not. stephano plays just euro ladder for some hours a day and can beat almost everybody. and tbh, just playing in korea won't make u superstar, there is more to it. look at jinro for example. Jinro isn't the best dude to pull out as an example. just because he got 2 semi finals inn GSL. he is inn a slope. just like MC was, just like idra was it is just a little longer. People become better the more u practice. Stephano plays more than 3-4 hours a day. he said that when i play more than 4 hours a day i start loosing. Too become the best u most likely have to play and practice inn Korea. But that do not make you a Korean! that's what i wanted to say. jinro is not even on high europe standards for prox the last half year, although he trains in korea 10 hours a day. korea won't make u awesome, it's still on yourself. saying huk is not a foreigner is discrediting imo.

Korean training won't automatically make you awesome, but it seems necessary for you to reach the level where you can consistently win against top Koreans. Stephano performed very, very well in IPL and gave many hope that foreigner training is closing the gap. But a phone call from TheWind seemingly allowed STC to 2-0 him, after which he lost to Boxer 1-2, making it difficult to argue that Stephano can consistently perform against Koreans. But, who knows, maybe foreigner training IS closing the gap. I did allow for that possibility since I think the EG training house probably did have an effect on IdrA's improved performance as of late.

If Idra had won, that would have been him, which would have put him in fifth place instead of fourth. Fifth place pays $1,000 and fourth pays $1,400. Well, he did have to go through Boxer, Hongun and bomber, so you cant really say that he won 400 dollars over mkp just because of losing to him, that sounds a bit ridiculous to me. Uh, OK, but if he had won, he would have never been in the position do play any of those people. He would have played Huk and, presumably, lost then played MC and lost again and ended up fifth. So, losing to MKP netted Idra 400 dollars.
