July doesn't spread creep.
I love julys style because outside timings, most zergs feel uncomfortable attacking before broodlords. The most Zergs do is muta harass and defend pushes. But we have seen from players like MVP that with unparalleled multitasking and turret defense, muta harass is difficult to utilize. This leads to tanks and turrets and pfs defending space too easily resulting in Terran taking lots of bases quickly. Terran doesn't mind losing bases past his 3rd if the trade is cost efficient, and there comes a point where marines become too strong for anything but mass infestor to deal with, especially with kr Terran micro. Terran is only afraid of losing his army. So why not kill it instead.

well considering he has the best winrate of any zerg against terran in korean(except drg maybe),,,,,,,,,, seems this works pretty well.

July occasionally pools larva, waiting for a timing push. It's actually purposefully done by very few Z's. Leenock does it alot as well.
