Why would IdrA spread creep to the edge of his base first instead of connecting his main to his natural -- especially if he didn't think or know that it was coming? (And how was idra supposed to scout? Rain had 3 overlords at the edge of his base to kill overlords, and idra already wasted a few lings trying to run into the main to scout.)

IdrA's banelings were spotted by rain and he knew that they were coming (he moved his marines back to the edge, off creep) -- no chance for that kind of hold.

so what else?


IdrA saw it coming with his ovies floating at his base. Had he morphed just 3 banelings, he could've reacted right away when Rain was dropping marines, waited outside, and just kill them right away when Rain picked up BFHs. So, that was purely IdrA's bad. No excuses.

Edit : I mean if IdrA already had a few banelings.


he saw it coming...when the medivac was a couple of inches from dropping at his main. idra morphed banelings immediately, but rain moved up, saw them morphing, and moved back -- idra wasn't going to catch hellions or marines with slow banes off creep, sorry.


well I thought some people might say this, so i edited my comment what I meant was had IdrA already had 3~4 banelings when Rain moved his medivac into ovie's sight.

stop trying to make excuses for idra. BFH + marine drop isn't even close to 1/1/1. idra just messed up. he could've defended it.

I didn't mean you said OP, I meant another people, so I didn't quote your comment. Sorry for the confusion. I just wanted to say that drop play was perfectly defendable.

Yea Leenock just got lucky when he rolled Boxer who tried the same strat twice vs him. /sarcasm



idra had no units when rains leaves his base with a reaper, 7 marines, 1medvac and 4 blue flames...how greedy can you be?

also letting him unload all the units in his base, thats not how you deal with that build.


zvt is all about being greedy -- that's why these early aggression builds work.. if you aren't ahead in economy, you lose the game

It'd be nice if the teams pick coordinating colors. It's a bit confusing have a light blue protoss on one team and a dark blue protoss on the other.

I think something like blue/purple vs orange/yellow would work better.
