Not like BoxeR doesn't know he is a bit sloppy, he misses upgrades etc.
Ofc he knows but I feel he does much more with his team and not getting enough practice.
Now, he has to decide what the hell he should do and i hope he decided to be a player! Slayers Jessica the team manager and his girlfriend in an interview says Boxer practices as much if not most out of all the Slayers players. Practice and live play are clearly two different things and at Boxer's age he can't perform as well as he should or wants to. I don't even understand this age thing. People are acting like age 30 is age 60 and you develop arthritis and shit. Nestea plays at an incredibly top level and he's just about as old as Boxer is. I think it depends on a player-by-player basis. Maybe Boxer had some injuries to his hands back in the BW days, I don't know, but SC2 is easy enough (WhiteRa can attest to this, hehe) that even Sjow and his ~130 apm can play... If you read the Interview, Boxer has a big chip on his shoulder. Unlike White-ra or Nestea Boxer feels he carries a lot of burden to be very successful and accomplished what he did in BW over to SC2. Again its a difficult task, not only is he pushing his body to the limits but refusing adamantly to abandon his brood war style of play.
Ok fair enough. Maybe he does practice. Maybe I am just a blind fanboy but there are some things I have hard time believing:
1. BoxeR hasn't the talent/skill to be up there in Code S. 2. His age is what is keeping him behind.
What has happened at age 30 in his body that he can't play SC2 at top level?
The age thing is only an argument that comes on these forums. There are so many sports that are so much more demanding on your body than SC2 ever will be but age is not nearly as much mentioned as SC2 fans specially here in TL forums.
Someone needs to tell Nicklas Lidstsröm in Detroid Redwings that at age 41 he shouldn't have won the James Norris Memorial Trophy for being the NHL's best defensive player. At age 30 his physical skills should have deteriorated to the point he event couldn't played SC2 in a high level because the amount of strength and speed you need to move the mouse and press the keyboard is too demanding.
And lets not even talk about the reaction time you need to play sc2. At age 30 your brain has basically given up so the average reaction time from 0.2 seconds have gone up to what, 2-3 seconds?
Seriously, stop the age debate. Its really embarrassing that video-game-players talk about their game like it is the most demanding thing on earth on body and mind. These are the things that make people laugh at e-sports communities.

I liked how he had that small force of bio running around nears boxer's expos to keep him pinned back. If boxer tried to move out he can just stim in and quickly kill an expo. I also liked how he used drops in both games. He always was good at knowing when to attack and pull back too. Whenever Boxer's hellions got too ahead he would stim and kill a few and maybe a couple of tanks and then fall back. He did really well with his siege tanks, keeping them back and using his bio force to whittle down Boxer's army. Also, he didn't just siege up one area and leave one open to attack, he would move his tanks around and siege at just the right moment. Is that enough fOu?

You're missing my point. I'm not trying to dictate who you're allowed to cheer for. Obviously, you're allowed to cheer for anyone, and I would strongly argue for anyone's right to do so. However, having the right to do so doesn't make it insensitive at times. Almost everyone is really sad that BoxeR is out, and then, you, not even a big asd fan, but simply someone who liked his play in a single series, feels the need to post about how happy you are that asd won. It's just insensitive and unnecessary given its context, and that's why it annoyed me. It feels like you're just basking in the schadenfreude.

He was never really good after that, and even in his dominance his macro was never that of YelloW. That's why most of their games he rushed him, like his Bunker Rush 3x in that same OSL's Semifinals. I love BoxeR, but he gets way too much credit. It's not his age or anything like that, he's just not that good. Sorry to break it to you.

I really think he just wanted to see Boxer go. I don't understand why he would be "So happy" after one series unless he wanted to see Boxer fall.
I could definitely understand someone saying "asd played well and deserved the win" and yes I have to agree with what you said as it kind of ties in with what I am saying. You are entitled to cheer for who you want to, but when an iconic figure loses and you are "so happy" even though you have barely seen the guy play... it looks a lot more like you are just saying "HAHAHA BOXER IS OUT! Obviously no one is actually suggesting that MechKing is going to anything near that extent, but I'm sure you get the point. I can only guess he wasn't a Boxer fan, and possibly even disliked the following Boxer had in sc2 based on what he has seen. All speculation though.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. Not to mention that there's not many reasons you'd dislike BoxeR. Sure, you can argue that it's all subjective and that opinions should be respected, but when there's an individual who has so many great qualities - a huge passion for e-Sports, lots of loyalty to his fans, extremely hardworking and driven, a great sportsman with a great attitude, having done a ton for e-Sports in general, it just seems inappropriate to actively dislike him if you're actually a fan of e-Sports. Even if you're not a fan of his play, what he's accomplished in the past and the amount of people, prestige, and general attention that he's attracted to e-Sports really should be acknowledged and respected. Thus, it just seems like the gloating was extremely annoying and unnecessary, and I wouldn't really make this argument for any other player.

MMA got to the finals of the super tourney by only having to TvT the whole way through.
Polt had tons of MMA's games and MKP to help him find MMA's weaknesses.
MMA has never been known for his tvp. He lost to huk in the up and down. He lost to another toss putting him back down in Code B
As for fruitdealer. Yes, you can call that a result of gameplay evolution. FD was/is a risky player, when the game is newer and safe builds are not as established yet, risks are more likely to succeed.
Also, When boxer was top 4, that was early on as well. IIRC that was over/about 6 months ago. Plenty of time for evolution
