All in all, terrible series, so unless you're one of those people that enjoys the "underdog" factor, I wouldn't recommend watching.

Naturally, almost everyone else disagrees, as the polls show. It was fascinating to see MMA get ripped apart like this.

You can have underdog wins AND good games, just look at MVP vs Bomber in Code A finals. Sadly, this isn't one of them.

I don't like any of this guys but the fact that one of LeBron mkp's teammates has won a big tournament before him makes me chuckle.

I voted Polt on liquidbet because I desperately didn't want MMA to win. On reddit someone said it was 4-0 again and I immediately thought MMA 4-0'd Polt Imagine my joy when I discovered Polt won .

Amazing show by polt, making it to the finals and winning it all <3

what is this i don't even....
I remember several people stating last night that if Polt won it was only going to be thru good games. I silently laughed to myself. Polt kicks major ass.

why do you say "blind marauders", yet MMA's hellions are just 'fast hellions' ?
lmao, you're a blind fanboy.

In the metalopolis game, Polt makes amazing decisions to stim his marines in to kill sieged tanks, decisions that Tastosis think are wrong but he always ends up winning. I think Polt should get more credit more that kind of ballsy play.
His play reminds me a lot of MKP's play season 1 where he was considered a lot more aggressive.
However, when it comes to standard TvT, i.e. tank marine vs tank marine, MMA will win in the end. Thing is, Polt was smart enough to never let the games get to that stage, punishing MMA for every mistake he made.

Cuz marauders are not as 'standard' in TvT so marauders are kinda blind while hellions were just an opening. But then again, who's to define the limits of what's an opening. But plenty of fanboyism in there, especially the way he made G2 sound like MMA threw the game away with nothing good coming out of Polt.

I don't like either player especially much (I like both, but was not cheering for either), but I can understand why. Hellions is somewhat standard in TvT (no one says you go blind 14pool or blind 3gate expand) while Fast Marauders are pretty unique and have a limited use (aka not good against quite a few standard builds in TvT).
That said, Polt totally outplayed MMA both metagame and in-game. Congrats to him.

Really depends on your definition of good games
Are the games good when the person you're cheering for wins? Are the games good when the person you aren't cheering for wins?
Are the games good when one person roflstomps the other? Are the games good when the match is very even/close? (Scf vs DRG for example)
Personally, i find games good when the match is very even/close and when the person I'm cheering for wins, so in my point of view, polt vs mma wasn't like the adrenaline rush game that nestea vs sc presented us, but i was certainly happy that the person i was cheering for, the underdog, Polt won when all odds were against him.
Oh and bomber isn't exactly an underdog.....

mmm so the moral of the story... marine/4 murader/stim > good ole 1/1/1 builds?

Cuz helion openings are standard, and marauders aren't. Polt intentionally went marauders cuz he thinks MMA is going to go Helions (due to studying his old plays). Polt didn't actually know for a fact that MMA is doing it. Therefore it is a blind build that worked. I don't know why you take offense in the word blind. It isn't implying anything negative like cheesy or all-in.
And I don't know why you randomly throw in that fanboy comment. Which part of my post makes it seem like I'm a fanboy? I would of said the exact same thing had the result be switched (but the games stayed the same). Fact of the matter is, we got robbed of a potentially 7 epic TvT games with 4 terrible TvT that I wouldn't even call it TvT as they felt more like PvP.

MMA fans were right. It was another walkover finals.

The marauder is also for busting bunkers, tanks and simply cause he needed the strongest unit he could get out of the tech lab since he was getting stim anyways...
You guys should ask yourself this beore posting: "Am I a nEeeEeEeeEerd?"

OptimusPrime? So all in all it was another GSL finals classic?

I don't know how you can define good with "when it went your way" as it would be totally different for everyone. But that is to each of our own i guess.
Bomber was underdog when he was against MVP. You can argue otherwise, but your argument would also apply to Polt the same way.

Now we are him.a have a bunch of people saying that Polt is the greatest thing since sliced bread when he was bad for a long time.
