Naturally, almost everyone else disagrees, as the polls show. It was fascinating to see MMA get ripped apart like this. Exactly why I said if you enjoy the "underdog" factors, which apparently alot of people do. You can't truthfully come on and tell me those are actually good games objectively can you? You can have underdog wins AND good games, just look at MVP vs Bomber in Code A finals. Sadly, this isn't one of them. Really depends on your definition of good games Are the games good when the person you're cheering for wins? Are the games good when the person you aren't cheering for wins? Are the games good when one person roflstomps the other? Are the games good when the match is very even/close? (Scf vs DRG for example) Personally, i find games good when the match is very even/close and when the person I'm cheering for wins, so in my point of view, polt vs mma wasn't like the adrenaline rush game that nestea vs sc presented us, but i was certainly happy that the person i was cheering for, the underdog, Polt won when all odds were against him. Oh and bomber isn't exactly an underdog..... Well obviously, I was defining good in terms of the "adrenaline rush" close type of games. I don't know how you can define good for "when it went your way" as it would be totally different for everyone. Bomber was underdog when he was against MVP. You can argue otherwise, but your argument would also apply to Polt the same way. Also iirc there were quite a few SCV all-ins during Mvp vs Bomber and the series didn't exactly have something on the line. MKP vs MC in the WC was a better "underdog wins" series if you ask me.

Cuz marauders are not as 'standard' in TvT so marauders are kinda blind while hellions were just an opening. But then again, who's to define the limits of what's an opening. But plenty of fanboyism in there, especially the way he made G2 sound like MMA threw the game away with nothing good coming out of Polt.
marauder used to be standard before marine heavy became the flavour of the month.
marauders are way more solid than hellion, ergo if anything is 'blind', it would be the hellion opening.

Fact of the matter is, we got robbed of a potentially 7 epic TvT games with 4 terrible TvT that I wouldn't even call it TvT as they felt more like PvP.
Please explain how they were terrible TvT If anything, the scv trade scenario, the insane marine splittings, hidden gold bases etc. all made it enjoyable to watch. All it lacked was the nail biting finishing type ace game

MMA's two recent twits following lost are rather interesting

SlayerSMMA Mun Seong Won !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 44 minutes ago
@myungwoon is Zero, the BW player who lost 3-0 to Flash in the MSL Finals last week. The twit translates on Google to: "You and me both."
He must be quite upset. He seemed to be very composed during the post-game interviews though, but it was quite obvious he was holding back his disappointment.

Well, you can't take anything away from Polt with this victory. 4-0 is pretty emphatic.
Would he have beaten MVP, Nestea or MC in a bo5 directly? I guess we'll never know, but it doesn't really matter since he beat the guys who beat the guys who were responsible for knocking out the powerhouses. Polt fully deserves this imo.
Edit: just watching the ceremony vod now, and Polt is pretty well-spoken as well, but I guess you wouldn't expect anything less from a guy who goes to SNU.

Polt vs MC bo5, my money is on Polt. Mvp and Nestea didn't looked exactly unbeatable lately either, so who knows. In the long run I think The Big 3 will probably dominate again but right now Polt can definitely hang out with them.

Well Polt is 4-0 vs MC lol

I looked at the recommended games first to see if the VODs are worth watching. I saw it was a 4-0 so I figured MMA won. AND THEN.... I looked at the spoilers and what a surprise!!!

All it lacked was the nail biting finishing type ace game Because those things you listed are usually seen in good PvP, TvZ, etc.
The mark of why people say TvT is a good matchup is usually because of the chess-like positional plays, map controls, seige-lines decision making, etc etc. I'm not saying intense-micro and marine splitting is bad. But if I wanted to see intense micro, I would watch PvP, and if i wanna see insane marine splits, I would watch TvZ. Therefore, these games were terrible from a TvT standard as it didn't have anything that makes a good TvT
edit*: Also, close games =/= good games. Would you call both players 6pooling each other every game and ending up with 1 drone + 1 ling each battling out good games? I guess everyone's opinion is different but for me, that definitely isn't something I would be calling good

Guess all that practice with Mr.silver himself helped him a lot.

MMA was SKT though.
Very nice of Zero to offer comfort.

Holy check!! I can't believe the result. Not just that Polt won, but that he utterly dominated MMA.
Although in retrospect, given how much TvT MMA has played recently, it's not surprising that Polt would be able to prepare for him.
Also, a sarcastic congratulations to GomTV for another horribly lackluster final.
Congratulations to the Giraffe Terran!

Oh.
UHHH this is unexpected...

"Polt" just doesn't sound like the name of a good sc player. Love im nonetheless.

Wow, how disappointing...
I'm so glad I went to sleep after the 3d finals now..

To people who think Polt sucks. Yes the final is one sided but guess who owned who. I voted for Polt.
