Okay we're going to start cracking down on people bashing players for no reason. You don't have to like every player, but at least show some respect. (as of page 402) |

Moon: 3 - 2 MMA: 5 - 0 July: 4 - 0 (his loss was to a korean) MC: 4 - 1 Losira: 5 - 0
Koreans: 21 - 3
If you take into account that Moon isn't even good enough for Code A, and that MC said he was extremely jet lagged against grack, I think we can end the argument here. The gap IS huge. Korea FIGHTIN!! ^^; Its fun how ju count MMAs win against July but not Julys loss.... anyways 20-3 is still pretty awsome It kinda went how it was expected to go though it went pretty awesome for the Koreans. The way I see it only 3 people at MLG (in the pool play) have a shot at taking down MMA July MC and Losira. Those 3 are Naniwa, Idra and Thorzain. Idra and Nani won there groups and Thorzain was in Idras group. Now I know other players have a shot at taking a Bo3 off of them (Sjow who should have beaten MMA and Morrow if he can get out of the Losers Bracket) but lets not pretend they sent over just anyone MMA has possibly the best TvT in Korea and has shown that he can crush high level zergs as well. MC is the best protoss in Korea without question. Losira is probably the 2nd best zerg is korea and if hes not the 2nd best then Julyzerg is. So the only people who can beat the top koreans are the top non koreans. a certain someone named nestea might wanna disagree with you about being the number one zerg player in Korea >=/ I didnt say number 1 for either Losira or July. I said either one of them is up for debate for being the 2nd best zerg in korea fully aware that NesTea is the best. Its hard to argue that July and Losira are the 2nd and 3rd best zergs in korea. well, Id say that there are plenty other zergs competing over that spot aswell. SlayersMin is one I have a feeling that the zerg player called DongRaeGu is going to pop out soon and dominate. I don't know, there's just something about his style of play that makes me feel like he's going to be one of the best zergs of the game.

However, it is a far cry from the dominance they held in Brood War. The matches between top tier foreigners and top tier Koreans are extremely competitive, and I believe the gap will only continue to narrow as esports grows in the west. Throwing up the series results of the koreans is a bit misleading, as many of them were extremly close series that, in my opinion, could have gone the other way a good 50% of the time. Koreans are still far above most of the world except for a few, but it isn't like BW. In BW, if any foreign player even took a game off someone like Bisu at an international event, it would create an uproar. Here, if someone like MC drops a series to Idra, it's not the same thing. SC2 isn't mechanical enough for there to be such a gap. jw but has there been a uproar caused by a foreigner taking a game off someone like Bisu/Flash/Jaedong or some BW pro? no foreigner has beaten a legit BW pro for a long time now. no foreigners have been playing bw in korea for a long time now the last people i can remember doing well vs koreans were grrr and elky..thwn again i was never huge into bw
legionnaire did pretty well
but still nothingcompared to grrr and elky
no one did anything compared to them
well, unless you're willing to go waaay back

Both IdrA and MC are at 4-1; does that mean they'll be playing each other for the #1 spot? Sorry if this was already asked in this thread, but it's kind of hard to find everything in the 800 pages of this thread Idra finishes 1st because he won Head to Head, which is the first tiebreaker. I thought it was because IdrA dropped fewer individual games.

IMO the Koreans aren't dominating enough, they shouldn't lose a game EVER. ^lol you clearly do not understand the game very well. Even IDRA said that there it is very difficult to completely dominate the game as a player with near perfect consistency. And yet, the Koreans are showing that they are a cut above the rest. Don't be mad at me be mad at the stats Korea fighting!!!!!!
yea but you're a fool. It's cool that you are a proud Korean but your arrogance is off-putting. It's like watching Brock Lesnar beat the crap out of a young heavyweight with far less experience in mma and rubbing in the inevitable beat down in everyone's faces.
Koreans aren't better because of their ethnicity...they aren't special outside of their great and fortunate environment that they are exposed to. If Non-Koreans could afford team houses and to be able to practice 60+ hrs a week then there would be ZERO difference in skill.

Wasn't there a post from Nazgul, at that time this was the "cool" thing to discuss, when they were discussing if they should be koreans in the NASL, about how most korean players are paid less than foreigners? How some of them are basically paid nothing besides prize money, while foreigners are paid salaries frequently?
Not to mention that it was big news when they announced the first actual sponsors for some korean team, and the first salaries, not too long ago. I still think some teams may not have sponsors.
