I hope we get to the point where games dont end on one push or battle.
SC2 just gets depressing after a while.

Yeah, see it a lot. Games decided by one battle. Maybe some day the players will change this themselves by not letting games get to that point, but in the mean time its horrible to watch two players sit back macro for 20 minutes then have the game end.

Not the kind of play i can invest time money and care into.

cruncher's play is hilarious

he is doing a pretty solid heavy macro build... i dont really think you can hate on that without looking like a hypocrit. kinda slow to watch though!

I wasn't hating on it. I was saying it's a hilarious way to play. I actually like that style, it's how I mostly played in sc1(though that kind of style was so much more fun in sc1...)

i suspect that cruncher has very poor multitasking, wich is why he he does these passive turtlemacro into timing push builds. reminds me of me, lol.

I had pretty bad multitasking as far as sc1 players went too
pretty slow in general actually

When i watch cruncher i play i always get the "i could do that too" feeling. does anyone know what his APM is like?

Very low 100s and often sub 100.

It isn't like Idra is a creative player who comes up with new strategies. He is a freaking study cow that you see in every college, will study the book all the time, with little brain. Not to say Cruncher is anything special, but all this Cruncher hate and Idra love is over the top.

My God, how can words of a player can change perspective of so many people.

Can you read the last few pages? Cruncher haters = people who like exciting games. Cruncher has yet to be involved in one.

Don't argue with an idiot. They'll just bring you down to their level and beat you through experience.

Cruncher hate is a bit disproportionate here, don't you think? As far as I am concerned, a lot of games have been pretty shit. But I don't see the same hate propaganda against others. A lot of them even get empathy for their failures.

So is it safe to say that Protoss can force Zerg to be in the position of having to basically all in and try to end the game quickly now? I mean that seems like the only option. Is all-in drop play simply the only option? So then it's a matter of how well protoss can defend an all in attack?

I mean I hear mrbitter criticizing momans passivity and this is the only way I can interpret what he is saying. What are the other options left to Zerg against a defensive macroing toss?

No, not at fucking all.

It's safe to say you can't go for a super cost efficient/supply inefficient army and then wait for your opponent to max out with a less cost efficient, more supply efficient army, his units scale better, you have to be aggressive in the mid-game and deny his third.

Mr. Bitter is criticizing his play because he went for one of the most cost effective, supply ineffective units and then waited for his opponent to max out...

Moman utterly fails with roach micro.

Nice forcefields from Cruncher.

Don't max out on roaches and hydras versus an army that costs twice as much? Actually attack when you see your opponent throwing up a third when he has four gates? He criticized Moman's passivity because he sat there and let Cruncher go to four base protoss versus four base zerg before taking a couple more useless bases.

But my point is, you cannot attack into a protoss with colossi and forcefields. So how does Zerg attack. Drops right? You could say nydus, but it's basically the same thing as drops, except more effective. You cannot trade effectively into a choke against a defensive protoss, so still the only option I can think of is all in drop play. Someone said mutas but all it takes is a couple cannons and blink to shut that down.

I'd be interested to see what the drone counts are, and what happens if MoMan takes a third immediately upon seeing the cannons.
