Bomber's TvP is not to be underestimated. He beat White-Ra like, what, 8-1 in two Bo7s?

Skill will get you to the top, no doubt about it. But great strategy will make you even better. Why did the Patriots win three Super Bowls with less skilled players? Because the system and strategy they ran was so good. It works both ways. I can have the strategy that Thorzain just used, but I don't have the mechanics so I will only be able to go so far with that strategy. But if I have the mechanics of Idra and the strategy of a low masters player, that will only take me so far. You need to have both to be successful in sc2. This is why players like MC, Nestea and MVP are so fucking good. Not only do they have great mechanics, but they have great strategy as well. As the game progresses we will see mechanics become more important because strategies will be adapted to. Right now a great strategy can beat a player with great mechanics because the game is young. A few years from now that might not be the case. Not saying that sc2 takes no skill it obv does and I enjoy watching it. Just replying to the skill vs strategy angle. And bw does take more mechanical skill its undisputed fact. As for the sports angle strategy always plays a huge role no disputing that. But people dont pay to see Matt Light or Derek Fisher. They pay to see Tom Brady and Kobe Bryant

even MKP was down 0-2 and won 3 in a row to beat MC in the WCs

But he needs more than 1 tourney result before we can place him among the best. Lets not get carried away Agreed. The TSL earns him a solid top 10-15 among non-Korean players imo. If he can follow it up with similar placements in other tournies, he'll be up there in top5 with the likes of jinro/naniwa/idra.

Because the most recent match is in fact the biggest indicator of who is better at this moment and it was not a single match it was bo5. At the moment Thorzain has to fear no one, but of course he has still a long way to go before he has so much "accomplished" like these players. Which means he has to win some titles. But for the moment it seems like Thorzain is on the same level as these guys because of his recent results. I think it would be btw really cool if the TSL winner or the two finalists of the TSL could get a spot at the GSL Supertournament. So they could proof that they are really that good.

Well one MLG earned Naniwa this god-like image so it's only fair the same happens to ThorZain and TSL.

Beating someone in a series of that caliber is impressive, but being consistently at the top is another story. I am NOT saying that Thorzain is bad. I am NOT saying Thorzain is not capable of getting to that point but at this point he just isn't at their level. And again... using your same logic I would disagree that Goody and Adelscott are even close simply because they beat one of those players. Is there any proof that the likes of Goody and Adelscott are not able to compete with those guys except personal bias? I mean logically there is no real proof. Only speculative opinon. Also those 4 guys are not the most consistent in Korea. One even dropped to code A. Best != consistent. I will of course agree that their peak-level is excellent and above most others but that does not set them apart from someone like Thorzain. He has a pretty good peak as well.

To me he seems like a complete beast just because of his consistent results against amazing players. yeah definitely. hes undefeated in BDL and won Gadgetshowlive LAN in the UK too. People should hold naniwa in high regard because of his great results across the board, not because he only lost 2 games at MLG (and not losing any game in the open bracket isnt THAT impressive... theres a lot of fluff even though its not like he beat a bunch of noobs, but he was still far better than everyone)
