Thorzain is God! Lol @ people criticising him over the last 4-5 pages. Get over yourselves. Don't have to be einstein to work out he's a very talented player by watching his games, such polished builds, beautiful play, micro, macro etc. This wasn't his most flawless series but he still played very well. He deserves his place near the top of Europe and therefore the foreign scene, hopefully he will start participating in more tournaments in the near future to showcase that talent more regularly.

It seems like the games were quite good today. How long does it usually take for VoDs to get up?

Quite a few hours, for all to be up like 5-8 hours at least I think

Less than a week for the finals considering they need to fly to new york

Really, thorzain is the only european terran thats comparable to the top korean terrans. Bomber easily 8-2 whitera, the 2 games he lost in were 4 gate rushes, something whitera hates to do. While thorzain is good, hes mostly good only because of his prepared strategies and builds, at LANS where there are many random games played in a row i dont think he will succeed as much.

But everyone had the same time as him to prepare. I honestly dont get this " hes so good when he prepares but when hes at tournaments he wont do as well " thinking, everyone gets the same amount of time to prepare and the same goes for a lan setting tournament.

Wow didn't expect Thorzain to outplay Kas by that much. But now we'll get to see more of Thorzains TvP! I really hope Naniwa wins tonight because that is going to be one hell of a finals.

well what has thorzain done outside of tsl in major tournaments? I think thorzain is an awesome terran, but hasnt showcased his full talent outside of tsl.

Wow! As I protoss player, I find TvT very boring when they make marine/tank. The marine/tank composition naturally creates stagnate play until one player decides go make air. But Kas and ThorZain made that SO exciting! So much better than any GSL TvT I have ever seen. Congratz ThorZain... that was awesome.

Last Game was damn exciting, the rest of it not sooo much since you could see very soon who was gonna take the win.
Hence overall a bit disappointing.

Cant see Thorzain NOT claming the title now!

So the guy who beat MC went 4-1 in his next round? That sounds about right.

ThorZain should totally go to Korea. They're all about practice and preparation (which is seen as they usually fail in the tournaments where they underestimate their opponents or are underprepared), and I think his talent and determination could flourish really well there.

And also you can say what you want about Mvp vs Bomber but none of those games could hold a candle to game 5 of Kas vs Thorzain.
Bomber and MVP on the same map had basically one clunk of units each that they moved around IIRC, Kas and Thorzain were all over the place. The argument is really that MVP and Bomber are better because they have korean passports, I disagree. All those 4 players could beat each other(Unless you give Thorzain preparation-time ).

No, just no, won't even read the rest.

In comparison, yes just yes, go watch it.
I just did a speed-rewatch to make sure I remembered correctly, I stand by what I said.

If you tell the truth than this is one factor why i fell love with the game, watched a BW game, dont know who played who, but it was TvP, and stuff happend on the WHOLE map constantly and simultaneously makes things sooo much more exciting than leading balls of armies (though the 200 cap doesnt help this much). Also, sieage tank is an awesome unit that forces this kind of play, must love it.
If you are into this stuff you should watch some SupCom games, they are all about this (well, there are exceptions, but the game definitely encourages this, especially 2v2s).

Koreans are better than foreigners. The best korean players right now were terrible in brood war and they still kinda own foreigners. Just wait until the top brood war players (flash, jaedong, bisu) switch over.

What if they never switch over? There's no guarantee that they ever will. SC2 may live besides BW for a long time.

That's the point, ThorZain is better than other players when the match has a long preparation time to fine tune specific build orders and strategy etc.

He is not as good as other players in LAN setting when each match is less than an hour apart because other players are better than him in those situations.
