The mods don't want all threads degrading into picture picture picture responses because 90% of them would almost immediately degenerate into that- which is why they promote discussion and thought in each post when it is possible.
As for Thorzain- his run has already been the stuff of TSL legends. His run has been what it is all about. It's inspiring to see and I would really like to see him take it all the way, he deserves it.

Finally watched today's matches. I can't believe it wow. Legendary TSL run for sure, to match or even exceed the other two.

Even more impressive than MVP or Bomber imo. Lol I don't think thorzain or kas could take a game off of either Mvp or Bomber. Yes they do well in the TSL, but I don't think you realize how much better Mvp and Bomber are. The european terrans are most definitely the best in the foreign world, but korean terrans would probably wreck them. MC thinks european terrans are better than korean terrans. Someone said it was a mistranslation. MC said European Terrans are on a higher level than European Zergs and Protosses.

oh wow, pretty strict rules there. But I guess its their ball field.
But yeah, Thorzain really impresses for someone who's not really on the scene that much other than TSL, at least on the international circuit. Heard he's a superstar in Sweden/EU.
Looking at Kas vs Nada where Kas wiped Nada out, I thought it was a sure thing for him. Yet quite simply put, most of the games were long drawn out macro fests and Thorzain just seem better overall. It wasn't simply build order wins or unit composition wins like in some of his TvPs.
Quite simply, where did this guy come from? Hope to see him in more international competitions or at least the ones I follow.

Thorzain is currently on the Royal Road

♥ how europe is owning TSL3 :D Now it's sweden vs germany! :D Too bad Dirk plays tonight in G4 vs Lakers :/

Gratz to Thorzain better player won this semifinal.
Thorzain performing so good in TSL also seems to be related to the format of the tournament.
He seems pretty strong when he can prepare for a specific opponent, whether this has to do with him preparing really good or the others not doing so, I don't know. If he can back this strong showing up with strong performances at Dreamhack or a similar other event where you must adapt quickly to different opponents he will have fully convinced me.

I just cannot believe how amazing Thorzain executes and plays in these games. His consistent marine splitting especially impressed me.
What a total fucking boss man.

I've lost a lot of interest in this tournament. It was way too spread out to keep my attention, with all the other tournaments and leagues going on. Only doing 1 of the r04 at a time is another misstep I believe. Why not do them both in a day?

Really, thorzain is the only european terran thats comparable to the top korean terrans. Bomber easily 8-2 whitera, the 2 games he lost in were 4 gate rushes, something whitera hates to do. While thorzain is good, hes mostly good only because of his prepared strategies and builds, at LANS where there are many random games played in a row i dont think he will succeed as much.

Idk why everybody say's that thorzain is only good when he prepare? He can still use his build against any other player now.

You have to study your opponent really good to be able to pull something like that off. Sure he can transfer something from the TSL games against the 3 Legens and Kas to his regular playing, but he yet has to prove himself for being as strong without precise preparation.

I was very sure that kas would win that 4-2 or something. Thorzain played just way better then Kas and i couldnt believe what i saw. Very much respect for Thorzain for beating the "best" TvT player outside of korea. Iam very happy for him.

ThorZain has done upset after upset. The kid can get it done with enough time to prepare.

Mouz should just send him to the gsl and he would never have to prove himself without precise preparation except for the qualifiers. I don't get why people get so hung up on those things when the biggest league in the world basically gives a player plenty of days for most match-ups. Sure it's a little harder with up to three opponents for the groups stages but the whole adapting on you feet kind of skill isn't that useful. Preparation is.

Thorzain has now given me 1 of the best TvT series I've ever seen and one of the best PvT series. I would say that match was more exciting than the last GSL finals. Game 5 was just amazing, I had nerd chills watching how they were both constantly jostling for the centre, while sending multi-pronged attacks and drops around the map as well as Kas' amazing drop ship micro where it looked like he'd lost in game 5, but he killed about 4 tanks with 1 dropship of marines.
What I thought was particularly impressive from Thorzain (aside from all the obvious things) is his eye for noticing when to break Kas. There were times where I was sure Kas was going to set up a long contain, and Thorzain would charge into a huge amount of tanks while he'd pulled Kas' marines away, and just split his marines perfectly and would break through killing every tank.
In the end I really think it came down to Kas having too many SCV's. Thorzain had just enough to saturate the bases he had, and because it was so hard to take more bases he didn't need any more. That meant he always had enough marines and tanks to stop Kas from flanking and to do his own flanks.

Just wow, phenomenal games by both players. They really showed why TvT is currently the best mirror matchup.
