[NASL] Day 1-5 - Page 30
Forum Index > StarCraft 2 Tournaments |
Yesterday's broadcast has had its issues. We all saw it. There are 10+ pages of whining. There is an entirely new cast going on now. Please keep whining about issues experienced yesterday to yourself going forward in the thread and allow other people to enjoy the games.

He got the expo, got a few drones, and then started powering units. The protoss's play involved delaying the 4th and 5th warp gates to try and trick the opponent into thinking it was an expansion build. One player committed to an all-in, the other did a cutesy trickery all-in. Yea but the Zerg also had 4 more harvesters ![]()

If, when his lings got there, he saw a completed nexus, he could back off and produce a bunch of drones. He's safe against light aggression as he has a small standing army. The extra minerals can become another base, and he can safely pump drones. I really think that IdrA had the right idea there - he isn't that far behind if it fails, as he can stop building units. Unlike a Terran or Protoss, the production economy transfers nicely into workers. Then again, this is just my opinion, so I'll happily be overwritten by more experienced players if they have one.

But I think if the Protoss had played a little bit more standard with extra sentries, as well as cannons after throwing down the forge, he would have been okay economically and defensively. Who knows though.

It must be so hard for you, having to hold esports on your shoulders like Atlas himself, and missing 30 seconds of an interview. Kind of a dick move that you deny them income just because they put up an ad at an inconvenient time.

Heh I agree that there is a lot of blind IdrA fanboyism in this thread, but seriously? Socke did the incredibly cheesy 5-gate Nexus Cancel attack 2 games in a Bo3. The guy obviously either wanted to piss off IdrA or just really did not want to play a macro game. The Hydra drop was sort of an all-in, but if Socke had been paying attention to his Probes he could have easily stopped it. Nothing even remotely close to getting your ramp FF'd and subsequently losing the game. Regardless, a great series that was exciting from start to finish. Not all ZvP's have to be giant, 30 minute macro games.
