Sure, he lost both his marine and reaper to probe because he wasn't looking at them... even though he is a EX BW pro, and a GSL champion, he wasn't able to mutlitask SCV production and marine harass.... got to be fucking kidding me huh?

Not sure if this post was to blame lag or skill for not being able to kite... but just in case anyone else has forgotten... u can't kite zealots anymore (at least for one hit anyway).... yay patch.

You can still kite them, they are just guaranteed to hit if you are fleeing them without attacking. If you are attacking and kiting it still works as before.

I love how many people's immediate reaction is to shit all over Adelscott's accomplishment. Why are you so offended that MVP lost?

Because it was an unfair game because of all the lag.
If it was on an equal playing field and Adel won then people wouldn't be saying that

I don't want to be a jerk... but it has been said a million time they played on NA... Yes EU might have an easier time on NA than KR players... but i doubt its as big a deal to result in an 0-2 in the fashion that it did happen.

Go look for Ddoro's post in the FXOpen thread on the issue from someone who's a semipro, he makes it very clear that the difference from Na/EU and NA/Korea is absolutely huge

Uhhhhh, how is his macro bad? His money stays low and he gets ahead economically of Mvp......

His money was regularly over 1k after the first major battles in both games.

Are you guys kidding? Nexus first should have been torn apart by early aggression. If MVP could properly micro, he would have been able to snipe most of Adel's harvesters and severely cripple him.

MVP had lag, that was obvious, but those games weren't lost by lag. Perhaps without lag MVP could have won a game, not sure, but Millennium.Adelscott just played brilliantly.

Anyway go QXC now \o/

It's really strange that MVP didn't have a good response to the 15 Nexus.
You can either go for a 2-Racks All In which is undefendable for the Protoss or (because of the spawn location) cut the Marine and get the Reaper out super fast (then it'd have killed 6/7 Probes instead of 3 and the game would've been evened out.

Yeah, it's very strange. I have close to 100% winrate vs nexus first There are quite a few good allins that are close to an autowin.

It wasn't due to the lag, for the love of fuck stop whining about it already. Koreans are mortals, they CAN lose.

holy shit, enough already.

To those QQing about lag:

1) MvP's unit combination was just not sufficient.
2) for some of game 2 and almost all of game 1, Adelscott was at a MACRO advantage
3) just because Adelscott is used to the lag from EU-NA does not mean that it is unfair for MvP: Adel just took time to play on lag settings for practice, and if MvP did the same, he would be fine too. I can't make a statement about comparing lag from EU>NA and KR>NA, though, but guys:

If a foreigner loses, you attribute it to Korean skill
If a foreigner wins, you attribute it to lag.

While this may or may not be the case, you are being a little bland in your judgment. So many other factors affect game strength, such as sleepiness, fatigue, focus, unit composition, etc. To give the foreigners no credit for a unique unit comp or thought process or to downplay the koreans for MAKING MISTAKES, as any human is prone to do, is simply unfair.

As Jinro said, when you're experiencing lag, you try to go for much different strategies/mindset than normal. As in, you will feel at a disadvantage from the start, doing either all-ins or playing way to safe, not like a normal standard Mvp

I can understand how people are praising adel he did play well and always had excellent upgrades but it's an undeniable fact that lag plays a huge factor in decision making and bad decsisions on the basis of lag is really bad.

Everyone claiming Korean players far exceed players from anywhere else are looking mighty silly right about now. Two of the four GSL Champions knocked out in the first round so far, and if Nestea loses than I would giggle at the thought of GSL being the most prestigious tournament in the world (especially since both other GSL champions that lost have been defeated rather soundly with 0-2's).

I like a lot of the Koreans, oGsMC and MVP.Genius being my two favorite players, but I would love to see the non-Koreans show that Korea is no longer the stongest country at Starcraft.

EDIT IN: They also already addressed the lag issue. The NA server holds at most 100-latency difference for Europe and Korea. Any professional can lose to another, being from Korea doesn't make you three times better than any other professional out there. ;p
Show me the meaning of being lonely.

Useless discussion about lag and I shall stop it for myself because I find it pointless.

Let's observe the other Korean's play quality and then we can more accurately deduce whether lag was a the main factor there.

I'd say it's time.

Oh and, the last time I saw Cella playing on NA server, his lag was HORRIBLE. Just saying.

For everyone complaining about lag, they played on the Korean server then the European server. So how is that unfair? Adel just outplayed MVP fair and square.

If MVP lost because of lag, how come MC had an easy time against Ciara? If lag was a factor then MC surely would've lost. If I remember correctly, in game 2, MC still had impeccable force field placement despite the "lag" that people are complaining about.

Because Ciara played so terrible. He couldn't even hold off a 3gate expand pressure and MC rolled him.

Morrow and Dimaga in that position would've.

its always the same on TL
if a korean loses it has to be HUGE lag and the korean had to play without a keyboard while listening to justin bieber

The right way to think about lag is like surface type in tennis. Low latency play favours different actions from online play. The player who wins is the player who makes the right decisions, taking latency into account as one of many factors. Adelscott made the right decisions many times over.
