Are you even reading the thread? People are complimenting MC left and right and there's like not much balance talk at all. Have you? Every time someone makes a compliment about MC's play today, someone immediately shuts that player down. "Impressive forcefields from MC" Response: "75% overlap? How is that impressive?" "MC 2 steps above other players" Response: "he got slapped back down to up/down" There's like not much balance talk at all? Are you serious? People have different opinions. If everyone agreed with everything, forums would be boring places. This is a LR tourney thread. I'm at work and I would like to know what's going on in Copenhagen without reading about your opinion on forcefields or on how bad a player is. Is it really that hard to respect the players that are competing for money without complaining? I'm not directing this at you personally, but let's change the negative attitude that's been going on here for the past 50 pages. Reallllly hard to enjoy matches when the negativity in this thread sucks out any hype you had for the matchups
There have been no matches for the last half hour, why do you think people are still talking about the force fields?.....

MorroW relies heavily on roaches, so MC does an opening to hit right before and kill his anti-air, then transition into air causing enough damage so MorroW doesn't have enough stuff to win.
All this balance talk is bizarre.

Both players expanding, Grubby getting his warp gate and Kas getting stim.

If you are talking about changing tech i both agree and disagree with you. I'm a protoss player and I agree with you in game 1 he had an opportunity to change his tech because of his big lead but I'm not sure he had the same window in game 2. It seems to me like a lot of people don't realize how much you have to commit to change your composition into a higher tech. I mean you hear state of the game people say that people need to add infestors to the composition to be successful but fail to really address the impact that changing your tech has on your army size/economy (besides idra of course lol). It's not like you can have the exact same army and have infestors. Changing tech for zerg does involve some sacrifice. You're likely giving up the instant remax possiblity if you change to infestors or hive tech. Meaning if you can't take down the protoss ball in the first big engagement, you likely won't have enough units in the next engagement. I think in order to change tech without risking huge vulnerabilities to timing attacks you need to have a significant lead on your opponent like he had during game 1. Idk correct me if I'm wrong. Morrow couldn't have held off that initially 2 collosus timing attack if he was simultaneously trying to tech up to hive or infestors. Watch the Nestea game today at GSL, that could be the solution that the zergs have been looking for. Personally, I can't understand why zerglings and mutas aren't being utilized more effectively. Mutalisk, especially, is one of the best units for zergs with its overall jack-of-all trade capability. MC had an army comprised of sentries, stalkers, zealots, immortals, and colossus. He also used a warp prism in game one. If you think that a zerg can counter this army with simply roaches + hydra + corruptors, then I don't know what to tell you really...
Nestea didn't even play a Protoss yesterday...

Kas gets a reaper in Grubby's base and escapes with 2 probe kills. Both players with early expos.

Is there a bracket for this tournament anywhere? I'm just tuning in.

MC would probably win. And it would mean nothing.

Ya youre totally right. You saw him get supply blocked once so he must be terrible. Terrible players win 2 GSL's, and Dreamhack, and prob this tournament. Anyone that ever makes a single mistake sucks a lot. MC is also the most passive player ever, you are so correct. He didnt crazy push with like 3 zealots and a bunch of sentries blindly into a base, then follow up with phoenix and VR harass, and then deny his third, and then take the gold, and then push and kill his third.
Do you even have eyes? How can you even make comments like this? MC is known for making crazy ass pushes and aggressive plays work. Im not even going to get into it any deeper with you because if thats your analysis to this point, you might be hopeless.

Thanks I'll have to give that game a look. Yeah I agree with you they can't expect to stay on roach hydra forever. As for mutaling, correct me if I'm wrong I'm not a zerg player but I thought the three gate expand really destroys the muta ling build?

Kas pushing out with a small M&M ball, Grubby getting a robo bay down.

Stream lags a bit? Sound is fine but the video spikes

Kas poking out with MMM army. Gruby's robo bay just finishing

Kas doing a drop with two medivacs full of bio, manages to take out a gateway and pylon before retreating. He's getting his third up and researching +1 infantry weapons.
