Just sayin'. Grubby and a few others are actually saying what they have accomplished. I feel that under your history of sc2, players like Morrow should stress that he won IEM. Obviously Morrow will get in but other players on the borderline should tell the world what they have achieved. We know everyone has 'unique styles'! Obviously, your history could include some previous tournament results, and some of the players do cover these in their answer (like ret or Haypro) - but in the end it's up to them whether they want to talk about that or not. I can understand not wanting to toot your own horn - and the well-known players probably bank on people knowing about what they've achieved before.

Higher than any dignitas, any Root - hell, any NA player even. Just sayin'. International TLPD favors people who play more tournaments. There are quite a few weekly/small European tournaments that have a fairly weak field due to the size (128++) even if the top 10-20 are well known. Therefore, you will get a lot of wins if you are a European who participates in these tournaments and is a decent player. It doesn't really say anything for the quality of the player though, imo. Tournaments like IEM, Dreamhack, Assembly, MLG are the ones where you can really see how these players stack up against each other and so far it is the same Europeans who perform (WhiteRa, Morrow, Sjow, etc.) whereas guys like Goody are maybe not as well known because they don't pit themselves against the top opposition and succeed.

While that's true, Goody has played in the ESL and EPS successfully, qualifying for the IEM European Championships, playing in the BDL, also qualified for Dreamhack... and really, those smaller tournaments aren't scrub-only, either. He's playing against SaSe in the Go4SC2 cup finals right this minute, after defeating Sjow and BratOK in the quarters and semis, respectively. He's up there. Top 50 of those who applied? Yeah, I'd say so. edit: and he just won the tournament. ![]()

Actually a much better thing to evaluate players skill are leagues with more games, not just single tournaments where you can drop out by loosing a single bo3. Good is for example the BDL with the majority of europes top players. http://www.dragon-league.com/en/matches/ranking But Goody was also 6th at IEM europe. He is easily a top10 player in europe. Goodys TLPD is also interesting. http://www.teamliquid.net/tlpd/sc2-international/players/1221_GoOdy Its basically 3 pages full of 1st and 2nd places at tournaments.

I agree that more games means more evaluation, but you have to remember that the quality of the players you are playing against is the important thing. Either way, he may be top 50 or not, I don't know, but I can guarantee you either way that people are going to be disappointed because there is no way that all the people deserving to be in this will get in... (sounds like a bizarre statement, but there is just so many peoples applications that are great and would be amazing to see in such a league).

Then again, the mysterious BW legend making a return in SC2 has insane narrative potential as well... There's more than 50 great players in the world, and there will be more than 50 good video applicants when all is said and done. it's impossible for everyone to be accepted, so there will obviously be disappointed players and disappointed fans. Whittling the field of applicants down to 50 players balancing races, balancing regions, balancing skill, popularity and appeal.... will be one of the hardest decisions the NASL organisers will have to make ahead of the first season.

No, it wasn't Huk. Huk was the person who was laughing. I think it was Nazgul. edit-Just saw haypro's post confirming that it was Nazgul.

I wonder why Nazgul is in Korea for two weeks. Maybe we'll get a shot of him at Huk's up and down match.
