Something does not feel right...

Ominous times are coming ... not everyone is going to be accepted and I feel like there's going to be a lot of drama :/

Obviously something went wrong somewhere when they were contacting the Kor teams.


Well looks like Xeris and Incontrol have some explaining to do. If a top team like Ogs did not get contacted, what about other teams like prime, slayers, and im? Wondering if Wemade and Startale were contacted by NASL admins or they just found out by them selves. Are they trying to limit the amount of better players in the league on purpose?

Maybe it was just bullshit, and they didn't want Koreans to apply, whilst simultaneously not wanting the TL community to explode from saying that out aloud, and this isn't just an assumption. SlayerS and oGs weren't contacted, so who was?


Second point would be the right one if i'd have to choose. Though, i wouldn't be surprised if something went wrong with the contacting.

Wouldn't surprise me if they only contacted Startale and WeMade Fox, as those are the teams that have sent their players to compete outside of Korea in the IEM.

Would be very dissapointing if that's the case, as players like MC clearly deserve a spot - if not for his skill alone, then for entertaining the foreigner community with his awesome interviews.

Its entirely possible its not their fault - it could be something as simple as them being given an incorrect email.

Yeah but would you rather see personality or better games? I'm sure the organizers realize we ultimately just care about the quality of games. If they can have personality AND good games, even better.


Higher level of games doesn't neccesarily mean more entertaining (better?) games. I've seen many people express opinions that NA and EU tournaments are more fun, generally, to watch than the average gsl game. I'm not saying I agree or dissagree with those people but it's not as easy just to put the best players out there and say it's better. Take soccer for instance, often when you put two of the worlds best teams out against each other, they often cancel each other out and you'll get to see an incredible boring game. I think many people would rather have Catz in the tournament than a Korean playing straight up each and every game without any flare even if he's better. But I do agree with you that if you can have both, the choice isn't very hard but it's also quite subjective what is better and entertaining so NASL have their work cut out for themselves.

Lets remember though, if all things go well for the NASL, there will be plenty of more opportunities down the road for foreign and Korean players to play in the NASL and GSL as well as other major tournaments. This is not a one shot deal. So I think even if not everyone was invited this round, there is still a huge pot of high quality players to compete and drawn in views/money for the NASL. Regardless of who is finally picked in the end, just because your favorite didn't make it in the first season doesn't mean you should start flipping out and what not.

Gotta support and cradle this bundle of SC2 joy. Even if its dropped on its head from time to time its still our responsibility to make sure its fed its mashed yams. If we don't WHO WILL?!

I'd say no more than 15 Koreans... maybe 10 is ideal. It's just if I want to see Koreans play, I'd go watch the GSL. I want the NASL to be more focused on Western players.
