Ominous times are coming ... not everyone is going to be accepted and I feel like there's going to be a lot of drama :/
Hopefully I'm wrong.

It's awesome that we have these Korean apps but aren't they technically too late? Yep they're late. Dimaga is late too. I really wonder how something like this can happen. It really seems like "pros" are not planing their tournaments like they should. Every fan knew about NASL for weeks now. I can somewhat understand it in case of Koreans, but here the managers should take care of such issues or in case of oGs the Liquid guys should have told them earlier. It all comes across as incredibly disorganised. We told them a long time ago about this tournament, but the opening post of the NASL thread has that bit about "Korean teams have been contacted", so that meant we werent sure what they were supposed to do, as oGs had NOT been contacted. Obviously something went wrong somewhere when they were contacting the Kor teams. Well looks like Xeris and Incontrol have some explaining to do. If a top team like Ogs did not get contacted, what about other teams like prime, slayers, and im? Wondering if Wemade and Startale were contacted by NASL admins or they just found out by them selves. Are they trying to limit the amount of better players in the league on purpose?

Obviously something went wrong somewhere when they were contacting the Kor teams. Maybe it was just bullshit, and they didn't want Koreans to apply, whilst simultaneously not wanting the TL community to explode from saying that out aloud, and this isn't just an assumption. SlayerS and oGs weren't contacted, so who was? Second point would be the right one if i'd have to choose. Though, i wouldn't be surprised if something went wrong with the contacting.

One thing I don't get though - I thought Jinro/Huk didn't apply because they needed to leave room for GSL Code S. How can the Code S OGS guys do this and Jinro/Huk not? I wasnt comfortable with the times in combination with playing Code S games, on potentially the same day... Im not sure how I feel about the decision given how many koreans signed up anyway, but my reasoning was that Im not nearly as good at falling asleep at random times as most every korean Ive ever met seems to be (i.e they can play until 7, sleep 5 hours, wake up, play, sleep 2 hours after dinner and just be fine... Id end up with a wasted day). Anyway, I dunno, its too late to change anything now and I have lots of tournaments going anyway. Here's a Jinro quote about why he's not entering NASL. Sound reasoning imo. I find people who can function above 50% with disrupted sleep schedules to be freaks of nature. If i don't get my 8 hours or whatever every night, i'm a walking corpse.

Wouldn't surprise me if they only contacted Startale and WeMade Fox, as those are the teams that have sent their players to compete outside of Korea in the IEM. Would be very dissapointing if that's the case, as players like MC clearly deserve a spot - if not for his skill alone, then for entertaining the foreigner community with his awesome interviews.

Watching videos like CatZ, Artosis, FXOSheth, TT1, KiWiKaKi, PainUser or Tyler (lol best one) make me look forward to the NASL. I won't name names of the ones I did not care for, but I just think that some of these players need to be themselves and show some personality in their applications. That's just my two cents though, hope to see a lot of these amazing players in the league. Yeah but would you rather see personality or better games? I'm sure the organizers realize we ultimately just care about the quality of games. If they can have personality AND good games, even better. Higher level of games doesn't neccesarily mean more entertaining (better?) games. I've seen many people express opinions that NA and EU tournaments are more fun, generally, to watch than the average gsl game. I'm not saying I agree or dissagree with those people but it's not as easy just to put the best players out there and say it's better. Take soccer for instance, often when you put two of the worlds best teams out against each other, they often cancel each other out and you'll get to see an incredible boring game. I think many people would rather have Catz in the tournament than a Korean playing straight up each and every game without any flare even if he's better. But I do agree with you that if you can have both, the choice isn't very hard but it's also quite subjective what is better and entertaining so NASL have their work cut out for themselves.
