There's no choosing between personality and games. the top NA and EU players had apps ranging from "does the job" to "good". Even Idra's is good as long as you know who he is; it's 100% him being himself, and he has one of the most notable personalities in progaming.

The Korean apps were all awesome, and I think everyone should be really happy and supportive of the Koreans for doing their best to intermingle with us and to speak English. They all come pre-packaged with totally sick skills and storylines/previous conflicts with other Koreans, not to mention the hype that EVERY SINGLE FOREIGNER VS KOREAN MATCH will bring. Seriously, no contest, just invite all the best players that apply and we'll have a bitchin league.

It's okay dude. It's Nada. You're not any different from any other self-respecting tL member for being... interested.

I would suggest this thread to satisfy your...interest.
Best thread on TL!!!

It's going to be quite a challenge to pick who gets to play in this league. I don't envy whoever has to make those decisions. Obviously ALL of the Koreans who have and might potentially still apply won't be getting in. That would barely leave room for any foreigners. But some are obvious ones, like NaDa, July and MC. And I'd think a few more than that should ideally be let in.

Something like 10-15 Korean invites would be good, I think. Any lower than that and you'd have to exclude too many who actually took the effort to make a video of themselves in a language they either don't speak at all or probably not very well, something they knew would be public. That's no small thing.

There is a significant number on TL who would prefer this tournament be all Korean because Koreans are the best players. Since its fairly easy to find 50 Koreans that are better than all the foreigners outside of Korea (code A > US+EU+Athene), you must have either an ALL-Korean league or no Koreans at all. Middle grounds, grey areas, and places where people meet half way do NOT exist! Anybody stating otherwise will be seen as biased and delusional.

In other words, it sucks to be Xeris right now

Not really; there was a poll and the Koreans option overwhelmingly won. Right now there aren't many western players who can stack up, but it won't be long before they can if they practice hard to get in the NASL.

Hope at least a few oGs players make it in! It's fine if NASL isn't all Korean, but you need at least 5 or 10 Korean IMO to make it legit.

I'm honestly wishing that will be a question in his TSL interview! I can only imagine his reaction when the tell him about it.

I'm confused, hasn't the deadline for the videos passed? It's awesome that we have these Korean apps but aren't they technically too late?

Yep they're late. Dimaga is late too.

I really wonder how something like this can happen.
It really seems like "pros" are not planing their tournaments like they should. Every fan knew about NASL for weeks now.
I can somewhat understand it in case of Koreans, but here the managers should take care of such issues or in case of oGs the Liquid guys should have told them earlier.
It all comes across as incredibly disorganised.

We told them a long time ago about this tournament, but the opening post of the NASL thread has that bit about "Korean teams have been contacted", so that meant we werent sure what they were supposed to do, as oGs had NOT been contacted.

Obviously something went wrong somewhere when they were contacting the Kor teams.

Maybe it was just bullshit, and they didn't want Koreans to apply, whilst simultaneously not wanting the TL community to explode from saying that out aloud, and this isn't just an assumption. SlayerS and oGs weren't contacted, so who was?
