"Husky's Law" anyone?

I've been feeling the same way about Tyler recently. He seems to be coasting on his BW reputation these days.
When was the last time he produced a respectable tournament result?
Even if tournament results aren't a fair metric, his performance in individual games have been fairly disappointing.
He level of play simply cannot compare with White-ra's or Huk's.

Why do these threads always become a pissing contest? It's honestly off-putting to read all these posts.

2 tournaments, 12 streams in 5 languages to choose from on TL alone - brought to us for free, with no commercials, by people who don't get paid - and still some people manage to find stuff to complain about. Really blows my mind tbh....

All discussions on bad and overrated casters will eventually lead to a putdown of Husky.

Sad at Tyler's loss so far, but hoping for Ret to take it all. Deserves it for sure.
Adelscotte does well in online cups but when it comes to LAN tournaments SarenS has always bested him.
Actually , Adelscott win 5 / 5 frenchs lan sc2 ( called mr 100% ) and Sarens lose in ro32 against adel , then lose fast in loser bracket against moman last lan 2 weeks ago ...

everyone bashing tyler for losing 1-2 against sarens is kinda rediculous.... its not like sarens is some no name
maybe tyler is not living up to tsl2 champion bw player that he is. but pretty sure hes making it out of his group. and he will be in the playoffs

Foreigners that are not in korea are not nearly as agressive early on giving zerg a chance to play their own style and ret is simply taking advantage of that. If this was GSL, ret would have lost to a timing push or all-in or ret would have to make more spines/queens. Ret will continue until he faces an aggressive player who likes to macro (huk is a good example).

That is not true. It depends on who you put into GSL. Naniwa for example is insanely scary PvT and I bet he could take on lots of Code-S players. Just one example.
there are a few code s players right now who dont belong there and they will go down sooner or later, same goes for code a, thats true but the skilled player pool is sooooo much bigger in korea,
why are they they giving foreigners direct seeds to code a? because the pool of good players is so big that qualifing is really really hard.
if you watched the gstl you know that there are some beast players not even in the code a, that shows how hard the prelims. already got over the last season(s) and how good you can get in a serious environment. (team houses, coaches, massiveplaytime combined with people to talk about strat)
i dont think any foreigner will be able to keep up with the koreans if they dont stay and train in teamhouses (in korea) ofc.
saying that i dont mean to take away from the non korean players but the korean pro gaming community offers so much more for their pro. playerbase right now.

And don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Tyler fan. From what you came to this particular conclusion? Everyone knows it. He has a LoL account with over 1 thousand games played. He is max level in WoW and is always raiding with the TL guild. Just look at his SC2 account, he rarely plays. I disagree with you. So what if he plays other games aswell. He is not a slave. He can do what he wants with his free time. I saw his games against Grubby which he won convincingly. Games against Sarens were not streamed so I won't give my opinion, but seriously who doesn't lose games sometimes? Even top Korean pros do.

Its not as if he's perpetuating the idea that he is dedicated to SC2 nearly as much as the two players you just mentioned. He only claims to get serious like a week before a tournament, and clearly doesn't think of SC2 as a game he enjoys as much as BW (or WoW or LoL). Same shit for a ton of former BW big names. Where are they at? They don't really like Sc2, probably. Probably similar to IdrA's recent released audio bashing of SC2. Not to topic derail, but the skillset in sc1 is not rewarded in sc2, and the skill gap is much smaller. And so a lot of former pros don't care for it as much.

Sein is the brother of Naama, as he stated in the interview, quite interesting fact to know.
