Just wondered if you had considered using Hunter seeker missile at all to counter MK's mass marine style? I don't play terran so I have NO idea how this would work, but in my head it seems to be quite a solid counter unless he were to get ghosts.


Stimmed marines outrun Seeker missile (no more Hunter). So I guess if he can split perfectly against mass banelings Seeker missile wouldnt be a threat.
Nostalgia is not as good as it used to be.

Not really going to work I'm afraid. Seeker missiles are quite slow and stimmed marines can easily out run them.


True, but it would mean that while he had some high energy ravens in the air then MK could never engage him. Which would give Jinro a chance to play as the macro beast that he is.



It would be nice if he could flank marines with tanks on the one side and hunter missles in the back probably close to impossible though. And is u mean the pdd when u talk about the high energy ravens, pdd wont really work against marines.

As i said to the last guy (Saying it again as its right at the bottom of the last page) MKP wouldn't be able to engage him while he had some seeker missiles ready, which would of given Jinro the chance to macro up

Well, even though I would have loved to see some more Zerg and Protoss in the Semi-finals, I think it is not too bad to finally have a Terran win a GSL. I also believe that the finals are going to be awesome - I mean MKP and MVP are pretty good.

Still unsure for whom I should cheer...

HSM only targets one unit so he could have just selected the one marine and moved it away to let it die.

They're not THAT expensive, and the advantage of it is (Along side with the fact that once you have the seeker missile upgrade you have an infinite amount of them as long as you keep your raven(s) alive) it would allow the ability to macro.

Like I said I'm not a terran so I cant really say. Would be nice to see Jinro's opinion on it.

Easier said than done when you have 30 marines all stimmed shooting and siege tank/marauder damage graphics over the top. And if you select the wrong one you will end up losing a massive chunk of marines.

Just from observer point of view, you need to play even more cold blooded (I know you already very good at it), but it seems this is that little thing what is going to make you into absolute NR.1, as your strategic/macro/micro play is amazing!

Give your opponents handicap and try win out of impossible and unexpected situations! ^_^;;

Hunter missile - 6 range
Marine - 5 range

Considering that the units are in constant motion, the marines could run up to the Raven, kill it and then stim out of the missile range.

And Ravens are that expensive. There is a reason why players like NaDa and MKP prefer to use scans to Ravens. 800 gas less in the midgame means little or no siege tanks, at that point your enemy doesn't even need to evade the missile.

Raven would be more useful for the PDD against marauders. Also something I would have used if I hadnt lost jungle so quickly ><

Game 4 by MKP was oov-esque, it was a complete mindgame because he assumed (correctly) that Jinro would assume he'd have some kind of attack when instead he got a 3rd. It's the kind of thing spectators should expect from a hyped bo5, if both players played "standard" all 5 games in a bo5 then there'd be something seriously wrong.

I don't think there's a way for MKP to beat MVP unfortunately, it will likely b 4-1 or at best 4-2.

I woke up this morning anxious to check the results since I only managed to stay awake for two games of Nestea vs. MVP.

Saw that Nestea lost.
Saw that Jinro lost.

now i'm sad.

Still, finals will be fun to watch — I really like MarineKing's style of play.
