Game 3 I got really thrown off track tho, because this wasnt something I practiced against at all - so when my marines are suddenly killing his depot I got tunnel vision and had the worlds slowest factory and engineering bay. I knew of course that he was going banshee, but everything was off-timing wise. It was sad too, because I had a special build I wanted to use on Jungle but him not playing at all like I expected on there... Well, the best laid plans as they said =o I have no idea what was tilty in my play on Xelnaga - it wasnt perfect and it lacked scouting (I was choosing between banshee and blueflame hellion after the opening, in hindsight the blueflame would have been better vs what he did but... thats like hindsight innit. He didnt really cheese any game btw, proxy starport isnt cheese. I was actually on the opposite of tilt - I was way too calm about losing, I think I need to set my goal as winning and nothing else for the next season (this one I wanted to get back into the semis and play from there) - Im usually pretty nervous, like when I drink some after game 1 my hands will shake but this time they didnt. Look at it this way, you had a great run and gained valuable experience for GSL5.

As a side note, only 70 persons for the semis? Damn, that's low.

Thats giving MKP too little credit I think, I lost the last 3 games because of marineking (ok, I lost the jungle game because of myself, but the other two were his doing). It was TOP who told me to do it, I couldnt get hellion drop to work so he showed me how to do it.

I dunno about this. I think you lost the game on Steppes because you were overeager. You had a nice contain set up and started doing slow pushing into his main. It was working and then you push forward just a bit too much, lost a tank and a few marines (IIRC). After that, combined with the gold expansion that you never scouted (this is an error on your part, not something that MKP did right) and a banshee he was able to come back easily.

Fact is, on Nestea v/s ImMvP, you can clearly point what was the reason for Nestea's defeat (muta mismicro, late baneling nest, bunker rushed delicious cheese), but Jinro played solidly, no mayor mistakes, but MKP just rolled over him. MKP is the most creative player around, he always uses new interesting builds and it seems that he just throws away all your timings. Looking forward for the finals. As a side note, only 70 persons for the semis? Damn, that's low. Its really not, you have to understand its a small studio and at 70 you have to squeeze in and out pretty much, with the stage + 2 commentator tables and tonnes of cameras etc.

How come you could not hear me yelling from California to check that proxy Starport on JB? I yelled REALLY loud, you know? :-) Also, agreed, you were too eager on Steppes, and neglected to scout the gold expo. You still played great, had a great tourney, and just a few Vikings short of the finals. Against the MM Ball from MKP, did you ever consider Nukes, or maybe some sniping from a Ghost? Those freaking Marauders just rolled your tanks on Zel Naga.

Oh I'm not taking credit away from him, he deserved the win. Just saying that it looked like you didn't consider the fact that he could have gone for the gold mines in both game 2 and 4. If you had known that was a possibility, maybe you would have scouted and thing would have gone differently. Like, you didn't lose because you were completely outclassed, but more because his builds worked better again yours or were better executed. So I have hopes that if you face him again, you will be able to take him down. Anyway, congratulations for coming this far and better luck next time
