No balance whining. 2-day temp bans will be handed out like candy. |

Fact is, on Nestea v/s ImMvP, you can clearly point what was the reason for Nestea's defeat (muta mismicro, late baneling nest, bunker rushed delicious cheese), but Jinro played solidly, no mayor mistakes, but MKP just rolled over him. MKP is the most creative player around, he always uses new interesting builds and it seems that he just throws away all your timings. Looking forward for the finals.
As a side note, only 70 persons for the semis? Damn, that's low. Its really not, you have to understand its a small studio and at 70 you have to squeeze in and out pretty much, with the stage + 2 commentator tables and tonnes of cameras etc.
u should take a picture of the studio next time, so people will stop saying "omg only 70 ppl, sc2 is dying guys!!!!"

Does somebody knows what method will be used to make the new RO32 groups for GSL5. With his strong showing (Ro4 two times in a row), Jinro will be a first seed, that's almost sure, but the rest of the group will be composed by GOM or will they use the MSL method of first seeded players having the right to chose or veto players? It would be awesome to have a MSL-like ceremony with trash talk, traps (true story) and musical acts.

Good games. Sad to see Jinro go though, I hope the finals will be as exciting!

I'm sad that Jinro lost, but these were fun games to watch last night. After the first game, MVP really impressed me. He seemed out of his comfort zone game one, idk. Hoping for a good finals.

it sucks jinro is out, but i think the 2 best players in the world are in the final.
|
really sucks that jinro is gone, but his multitasking and results show that he has what it takes to make it as a progamer in korea -- a successful progamer capable of winning a gsl or future osl2 if that ever comes about.
|
I watched the first game, saw Jinro won and then went to sleep. Wake up and see he lost the next three. I'm sure if I had stayed and watched, Jinro would have won.
I'm sorry Jinro for causing you to lose.

also Jinro lost to the GSL 3 winner in his last Ro4, and I'm pretty sure he lost to the next winner again
Also Jinro for now is the one who handled this annoying super mobile style by MK the best, always leaving defense behind and turreting drop spots, so good
Next time MK will get the same treatment as MC this season I'm pretty sure about it :d
Actually, he handled it oK. He almost lost to the same strategy MKP used against him in group stages (parking a ton of MM on his buildings), and he only built bunkers in the last or second last game as a defence.
MKP really abused the immobility of terran. I think Artosis' recommendation of a super-turtly mech terran would have been better than seiging up at the XelnagaTowers on XNC and having to retreat because a medium sized force of MM came and stimmed things up. It happend a ton of times too.
I don't think it was necessary Jinro's fault, but against MKP going mech is asking to be flanked and dropped a billion times.
I think the banshee-focused play would have been much better. I'm no programer, but observing takes no technical skill, so...just my 2cents.
Then a transition into a bigger MM or something...mech just has too much drawbacks.

Upset that NesTea didn't move on but, to be honest, it would appear the two best players in the world have made the Finals. I absolutely wish one of them wasn't Terran (simply because I hate spectating TvT) but they undoubtedly deserve it.
Pulling for MVP because the dude is basically automatic these days. He's obviously been working hard and deserves the win. MKP making another finals is incredibly impressive. I hope it shuts down all the haters (it won't) saying he can "only do one thing". He's fucking good.

MKP is more exciting than FD was in S1.
Sad in a way, but his style is just so ridiculous.
|
i rly underestimated mkp hes gotten so much better
his style is really only possible with insane multitasking, he has his army constantly on the move

TERRAN ARE FINALLY GOING TO WIN A GSL!
Whoop whoop
Cant wait to watch the jinro games. Just sucks I couldn't wait to not see the results
|
I'm now really excited for next season. After seeing Jinro destroy MC this season , i cannot wait for Jinro vs MKP next season.
And woah MVP , what a sick Beast.
|
just watch Jinro vs MKP series, wow those were amazing games...
MarineKing gonna win this, Jinro only loses to GSL champions!
|
I really wanted Jinro to win, representing the entire non-Korean world.
Barring that, I would've enjoyed seeing a NesTea/MKP re-match, maybe making it one of the first really big rivalries of SC2. (Plus...not a TvT finals. I like TvT a fair amount, but I just feel like non-mirror matches are more fun to watch.)
On the plus side, Jinro proved that his previous run was no fluke. It's great to see him perform so well consistently.
|
wow, very impressed by Mvp and MK.
Jinro played best possible but man MK strats were quite surprising. Taking the gold expansions like that and the proxy banshee in jungle basin.
=( sad to see Jinro lose but really well played!

I think that was Jinro's original plan. He even said he was going to go for full upgrades mech. The problem was that MKP took a superfast third (which is okay) but then took a superfast fourth and was getting his fifth. Jinro had no choice to move out. MKP did the correct counter to a turtle which is taking the whole map. Also, the number of things you can do with only 4 gas is a bit limited and Jinro needed a third.
Now Jinro could have stayed on 2/3 base and maxed out then gone for one final push. The problem is that MKP has shown to be really good at drawing out these base race scenarios and his free-healable bio army would have had a mobility advantage.

just watched em (avoided TL like plague to keep schroedingers box closed) and gotta say both series were great. both really close with entertaining nailbiting games which mostly got decided by small thinks or a single mistake.
great great day of gsl and even tho im sad for our FA but ro4 2nd time and such impressive tournament and games vs foxer really is sick.
could barely watch during some of the games cause i got so nervous and sadly some small mistakes did tip the games in foxers favor. couldve gone either way at all times. fa our hero thx for the great games you brought us again ~

As a zerg, it saddened me to see Nestea go out. It was essentially down to two critical mistakes: 1) engaging with the lings and blings in a terrible position on the ramp in the back of his base on Shakuras Plateau, 2) Flying his mutas over the marines on Jungle Basin. If there was any theme to the losses, it seemed to me like he persisted with ling/bling compositions to the point of diminishing returns, where it would be better to mix in roaches or transition to tier 3.

Really great to see one of these two guys win, I think each deserves it.
BTW anyone catch if they will be streaming the up/down matches? I must have missed it last night.
