You could maybe call MKP's proxy starport cheese. Hell, I will. Sure. But other than that? It was straight up Jinro screwing up. We all love him, and I wanted him to win, but he screwed up and MKP punished him for it 3 games in a row. I'd say those last two games were more Jinro on tilt than anything though.

Hm I wasnt tilting at all. Game 3 I got really thrown off track tho, because this wasnt something I practiced against at all - so when my marines are suddenly killing his depot I got tunnel vision and had the worlds slowest factory and engineering bay. I knew of course that he was going banshee, but everything was off-timing wise.
It was sad too, because I had a special build I wanted to use on Jungle but him not playing at all like I expected on there... Well, the best laid plans as they said =o
I have no idea what was tilty in my play on Xelnaga - it wasnt perfect and it lacked scouting (I was choosing between banshee and blueflame hellion after the opening, in hindsight the blueflame would have been better vs what he did but... thats like hindsight innit.
He didnt really cheese any game btw, proxy starport isnt cheese.
I was actually on the opposite of tilt - I was way too calm about losing, I think I need to set my goal as winning and nothing else for the next season (this one I wanted to get back into the semis and play from there) - Im usually pretty nervous, like when I drink some after game 1 my hands will shake but this time they didnt.
solid play from Jinro, MKP just had a bit more flair in his game that gave him the edge imo. Nestea vs MVP were nice games, too bad it ended with a missclick .
Overall really good play, these semis felt like the best sc2 games I've seen in a tactical and mechanics pov.

I was actually going to go for super fast mech upgrades in the jungle game but I just fucked my build up soooooooo hard... oh well.
lol!....soo funny! they can't keep a straight face haha!!
hahah great vid. I like whne mvp near the end tries hard to make himself get serious and just busts up laughing.THe games today were real great, I would have never seen MKP making it to the finals, thought for sure he would lose to nada and if not to him then too jinro. Gj by him though. and the mvp series was no surprise.

Yeah, I think you had the MC syndrome. Last season, everyone expected you to lose against MC, so you had no pressure at all (too much pressure is bad, but no pressure is as bad). (people expected you to lose no because you are bad, but because MC was on a roll and was untouchable at the time, don't get me wrong :p (I know you won't but other will)) Antway, this was perhaps the same thing here, after winning the first game I feel you were like releived and didn't had any pressure left. You showed a lot of skill this season, and in fact you improved a lot (watch your season 3 GSL games and compare to this GSL games, it's like a different player. Now you marine split perfectly for instance, a useful skill toi have imo), so now you must stop being complexed and persuade yourself you can beat those top, top players, because you earned your spot along them. What I mean is it's like you aborded those games thinking "I will lose anyway, so if I win it's a bonus". Now you can abord those games knowing you can win them, because you are able to.
Perhaps I'have everything wrong here, that's just how I feel.

Keep your head up Jinro. You played some excellent games and are a force to be reckoned with. Good luck next season - I am sure you will do very well.
Also, top 4 in the world is nothing to be sad about. You are an amazing player.

Hey Jinro Just wondered if you had considered using Hunter seeker missile at all to counter MK's mass marine style? I don't play terran so I have NO idea how this would work, but in my head it seems to be quite a solid counter unless he were to get ghosts.

Not really going to work I'm afraid. Seeker missiles are quite slow and stimmed marines can easily out run them.

True, but it would mean that while he had some high energy ravens in the air then MK could never engage him. Which would give Jinro a chance to play as the macro beast that he is.
