Rain played really good, I was impressed (game 1 and 2, I think his mind broke after the proxy gates).

MC had godlike defense game 1 and came back after screwing up game 2, in the sickest way. Sick finals IMO, I was shouting in swedish at the top of my lungs during some of the games =)

Expected outcome, though Rain did show improvement over the RO4 games. That said, his "all-in" tendancies still shows in Set 1 and Set 2 (lack of expansions on contains)....it drove me insane. Good to see a strong Protoss win and show the strengths of the race even being a Terran player. Set 1/2/3 were worth watching, 4 and 5 were anti-climactic to say the least. Maybe we'll see a Terran win in the S-Class tourney since that's 3 runner-up Terrans in all 3 Seasons so far....but for that a stronger macro based Terran player is going to have to come through *cough* Jinro *cough* .

Congratulation to MC for the win, I think it's what most people expected. However, Rain played a brilliant third game. Hopefully we see more play like that from him in the future.

Brilliant = winning on a gimmick like a scouted, canceled rax into banshee play? And still almost losing?

Really, MC lost that game because he got overeager with his colossus push. Definitely should have waited.

MC is just miles ahead of Rain, that series was very lopsided. Game 2 was extremely entertaining, still.

MC's PvT is a just too strong lol. like that game 1 i recalled, he made 1 void ray to force more rines, and then expand, then made buncha immortals and stalkers to counter a tank rines bunker push

a lot of mind game going on for sure. my favorite game is game 4

Uh what? Those immortals didn't avoid shooting marines on their own. And that zealot flank from behind sealed the deal.

Games 1 and 2 were incredible from MCs point of view. I liked Rain's BO on Xel Naga. Game 4 cheese was pretty fun, like the JD cheese last OSL, except it worked. Game 5 was a bit of a let down but what the hell, MC was a worthy winner. He is a little awkward in this sort of situation but most of us would be. Glad to see Spunky happy.

I can really see Pheonix graviton being used like Arbiter statis in the future.

Zealot flank was not even necessary after all those marines died and yeah, right clicking on tanks is a perfect example of good micro.

First 3 games were actually really interesting to watch. Rain showed to me that he was better than I initially thought he was. Game 4 was pretty disgusting. No worse than marine/scv cheese, yet I find it amusing that few are complaining about it. I mean, what, scv all-in is fail but proxy gateway = skill? Give me a break.

Even Jaedong and Flash cheese in BoX games in the finals of tournaments occasionally. It's all part of a complete package, since they don't rely on them to get to the finals in the first place.

And him making Rain move his other marine force away to deal with a counter at the main wasn't smart either. What did you expect? Right now, you sound like you've never played the game and think that there was more to be done in that attack. It was a great game, period. I would love to see you break out of an 8 bunker & tank contain like that. I highly doubt you would've done it.

MC Completely outclassed rain. Really fun games to watch. I was actually thinking he was going to lose Game 1 & 2, but his come backs were damn amazing. I wasn't at all surprised that Rain went with some sort of an all-in or contain each game though. When I first saw 8 bunkers at MC's door, I just started laughing. Never would I have thought a pro would use 8 bunkers to try and win a game.

I'm ecstatic that rain got cheesed. Maybe now he knows how the Zerg players he 2 rax'd all in all the time felt. Game 4 was only interesting cause I've never seen a 1-gate cheese like that. Game 5 was actually a cool little base trade. Rain almost held on, but those damn sentries just saved MC so much.

MC is such a great player, really deserved the win either way.

Rain just didn't deserve being in the finals (nor in the ro8 IMO).

Just watched the VODs, quite enjoyable games. The detected proxy game was just so sick. Early zealots are just such a scary thing.. the first game MC vs Jinro, now this. The whole thing felt like MC was just outclassing Rain though. Like he could have won some games (LT) but didn't. Even the game he won, he took such a lead and was quite struggling to inch out the win. Most surprising was that he never went multiple starport banshee, that's so damn hard to defend against for protoss.

game 2 was great because there are definitely less than 3 protoss in the world who couldve come back from that situation.

mc is definitely the most exciting protoss to watch
genius and tester are probably just as good but they are too solid and macro oriented which are figured out by current terrans and effectively countered. Mc's aggressive play will be figured out too by terrans so he won't be as dominating in the future imo.

Basically meta games go tester/genius style < terran current style < mc current style < future T style

I was super excited to see a tank heavy TvP because I always go marine-bunker/tank/hellion off of an FE and Rain's style was the closest I've seen a Korean Terran play like that vs toss.

I really hope people will stop calling me stupid now for Meching against toss as despite the fact Rain lost i don't think he would have done it if it didnt work for him before and oGsMC is SICK good.
