It's not about limiting Terran for the sake of limiting Terran. The fact is right now the Terran game is being largely self limited to stupid SCV rushes, get rid of them and then we can see where the rest of the game balance lies.

Repair needs to be proportional to damage dealt, because it's essentially anti damage.

Anti-damage can't be dealt faster than damage dealt. Its stupid.

And wow, that terran didn't even go all in - he didnt even pull ALL his scvs. Maybe half? -___-

That's all it takes. HALF a terran's scvs and normal production to beat the latest 'best toss in the world'. Awesome.

Well, yeah, this is NexGenius's fault here. Remember, during State of the Game, Idra said that NexGenius wasn't that good, he was just greedy with his economy and soon, players will start figuring out his timing windows to exploit that.

It looks like they've started figuring it out. NexGenius really had a piss poor army when Rain attacked.



No, first, idra is smart but hes consistantly terrible at judgeing other players, two, HOW IS 2gate ROBO expand greedy!

Almost positive Blizzard said protoss was getting nerfed in the next patch. Storm in particular.

Either way I don't think any racial imbalance lost these games for genius. He lost to some all-ins (kinda.. mules make that though to say) that were very poweful and which he didn't have the best responses to.


You be trollin'? Storm is quite useless vs Zerg atm and semi-usefull vs Terran (unless they don't use stim and stay on one spot). As much as I love toss I wouldn't be able to take another nerf(hey Blizz, how about you make the Stalker useful again, eh?) .

I would almost agree, except that the attack came late enough that the expo PAID for itself. The econ advantage should have kicked in already. Quite sure of them, T attacked a good 2 mins after the expo went up

That combination of units with scvs seems really goddamn strong though. Might be a blunder for genius to not get stargate i guess, but saying he lost because he expoed is pretty inaccurate comment

But you have to agree, when you put all that money and gas into one unit and misscontrol that single unit you lose sooo much. More stalkers/zealots/sentries would have been better.

There is definitely an underlying problem with those pushes. I cant recall a push like that being defeated in gsl, tvp or tvz alike. Last genius game was sorta like taht but the terran was super sloppy, it was crossmap, and to top it off terran just gave away his units instead of slowpushing.

It was 8-9 SCVs, and that attack was not going to fail. The worst that would happen is the P would barely hold it off and T would be able to contain, but the chance of getting at least the natural expansion and being able to safely expand himself made it so that I really wouldn't consider that an all-in. It's like... 10pool vs 16hatch, you can consider it an all-in because you have to deal damage, but the chance to deal damage is so high that it really isn't an all-in imo.

You're right, the expo was actually a perfect decision I think. Raven+tank push isn't going to come until his economy kicks in. Colossus were way too much of an investment though, and they didn't do a lot; Council would have been a far better tech choice and faster payoff. Stargate also would have been fine.

The problem isn't one of balance necessarily, it's on incentives. If you can win 50% of your games in the early game you should never use any other strat, because you can practice 3 times as many short games as long games in the same time, thus giving you the edge on anyone who practices long game strategies as well.

All-ins and rushes should be possible, but they should have a significantly less than even chance of success. Right now they do not, and that's why we see so many of them.
