He looked terrible out there ![]() I just don't understand the insistence to hatch first. Ok, you can pull it off on Scrap but you'd better be scouting like a crazy man. What he needed against that push was speedling/bling/queen, not roaches.

My logic could be WAY off here, but that's the way Tasteosis seems to be saying these games will play out and it looks like that's what's been happening. I'd very much appreciate your guy's thoughts on this.

I think nerves combined with the almost impossible to scout builds used by this terran got the best of him....its extremely easy to die to these kind of timing builds, that's starcraft 2 for you, it all happens a lot faster than it did in sc1 and you need almost psyhic abilities to consistently win in this game..,,and that's why you see so many upsets. Can we get a promise of your psychic powers to crush all who oppose you this GSL? ^^

If theres no transition, its all-in.. What is the transition for this? Start from 0 Scv against 2 Zerg base? Please. You can transition into losing your whole fucking base. For this game I think Haypro didn't make a baneling nest because, like Artosis said, he saw a potential blue flame Hellion play which would have crippled him. So he went Roach Den, saw Banshees, teched to lair, and got timing pushed with lotsa ground units and no Baneling nest.

In the second game it's possible that Haypro didn't know the timing of the push and was caught offguard, but in the first game I don't know what he was doing. Either he was overconfident that he could hold the Marine SCV push, or he was just stubborn and decided to 14 Hatch anyway. Either way, they were disappointing games in my opinion.

Ret, please dont 14 hatch in your games. Just dont do it.

However, by your logic, it is ridiculous that bringing a shit ton of workers can guarantee a dead nexus/hatch. I have found this to be the case only with terran. Altough, I rarely if ever bring workers in the other races, So I will have to experiment more.

In terms of raw skill, he is probably one of the best foreigners around. No offence but your counter-comment sir, is naive as well. If you claim that Haypro is a 'phenomenal player', I would appreciate you back it up with evidence / proof claiming he is of such standard. From what we saw today (and I'm assuming many ppl have not seen Haypro's play much), wouldn t you agree that he does not fit the bill of a 'phenomenal player'? In my opinion, Haypro has much to improve on. He may possess the mechanics to make him a good player but I personally believe he needs to improve his gameplay sense, to be able to counteract what he's being faced with.

Remains to be seen how effective it would have been had Haypro gotten banelings. My guess is that with banelings Haypro has no problem taking that out.
