I agree, but i dont think that was the case here. I mean, he 14hatched after watching Zergs get all-in'd all day for 14hatching - and losing a lot of the time. Did he really want to gamble like that? He follows that up with like 8 lings, no banes and then just powers drones - and loses.
2nd game he got no banelings, mutas were so late, basically had a handful of roaches and just loses to an army that he didn't even scout. Did he even have an overlord checking those rocks?
It was pretty pathetic play in my opinion. I'm extremely disappointed. I've yet to see Haypro play well, and everyone says he's so good.

Yeah, fruitdealer looked bad when foxer took him out.
Bit was one step ahead of haypro. He went for a unique and hard to defend all in build that wasn't easily scout able. The only thing he could have done was not build any mutas and instead went banelings, but he doesn't know if the attack will come with 4 banshees or 1.

He needed the lair first for Overseer against cloaked Banshee. Personally I prefer Evo chamber -> spore but I'm not playing

Damn nestea for making 14hatch seem viable vs 2rax..

Remains to be seen how effective it would have been had Haypro gotten banelings. My guess is that with banelings Haypro has no problem taking that out.
yeah, someone should def. try it to see how effective it is...

It can guarantee a dead nexus/hatch because zerg is overdroning. They're making enough army to hold back a push without workers. So you add a few workers to tank the initial damage and you win.

BitbyBit you better sleep with one eye open tonight because I'm going over there to gouge out your eyes and break both your wrists so you may never play SC2 again

So is all the pressure on the zerg here then? A frantic race to hold off a semi-all in while the terran either kills you or does severe damage while muling to keep their economy up?

Sad for Haybro , time to take a nap and wake up for round 2

It's really not hard to scout with an ovie or overseer.

Imo, Haypro shoulda 6pooled on Scrap after Game 1.
A 6 pool would have been even more disastrous. By the time he gets all the way around his handful of drones and zerglings will be up against 2-3 marines and nearly a dozen scv's. Would have hurt even more. Shame Haypro got crushed the way he did though .

And Haypro tried to scout a lot as well. In game one he constantly ran lings and overlords around, the T was just hiding well. It didn't help that it was a BO loss anyway because herp derp 14hatch is the only build ever.
he didnt scout well on B.sands. didnt take xel naga at all.

honestly after seeing terran on one base for so long he should have been preparing for some type of all in.
also after he saw rocks being broken down he should have just thrown down a bunch of spine crawlers..

Reading some of these comments, it's evident to me that a lot of you don't really appreciate how delicate playing zerg is at a very high level. If you get caught with your pants down in the first 10 minutes, the game will always look one sided. It's the nature of having to use your larva for your economy and your army. If you make drones at the wrong time, you get smashed. If you make army at the wrong time, you get smashed. It's not imbalanced, it's just different.
If haypro was expecting him to come barrelling through two sets of rocks with a new build that early in the game, even after he fended off a cloaked banshee, he would've been adequately prepared. I'm sure he isn't the only professional zerg player that wouldnt be expecting that sort of push. You can't really blame him for droning at the wrong time. He was about 20 seconds away from mutas when the push came, as well.
Makes me sad to see people spewing negative shit about his ability when they don't even understand the complexity of the situation he was faced with.

First zerg to play 1base will win GSL
