Less 2 Rax vs Zerg please. I don't care if it's a strong build - it's damned boring to watch.
i don't think anyone that qualified and is trying for Code S cares about how exciting their builds are to spectators. but you can go ahead and qualify and entertain us with battlecruisers and motherships during your televised matches if you want to.

Haypro has always seemed very nervous to me. I believe that he is better than what he showed today, he just needs to find inner peace or sth. So disappointing

everyone knows that is not true.
and pulling scv is always smart for Terrans no matter what. as Day9 puts it.
60 scv + 1 mule against 60 probes/drones is 10 percent economic advantage.
6 scv + 1 mule against 6 probes/drones is 100 percent economic advantage.
No reason whatsoever not to force the opponent to trade workers. Sorry, but since its obvious, that if Terran fails with this push with scvs, hes gonna gg right away.. So whats the definition for all-in? If theres no transition, its all-in.. What is the transition for this? Start from 0 Scv against 2 Zerg base? Please.
it's quite impossible for those kind of scv pulls pushes to do zero damage imo. at the very least he can trade workers which is always good.

87K man. I would cheese every game if it even takes me one step closer to the prize pool.So don"t watch the games if you are so bored , players play however they want.

Yeah this was probably the least entertaining set of 5 games from any of the GSL seasons oh well :\.

ret and jinro will have a better chance, from weekly 17 replay pack i already saw that loss comming.,
|
Would he have fared better if he did some kind of 1-base bling play maybe?
|
a macro game is not going to occur if you can't defend against all ins
|
Well, I hate to say it but there really wasn't a good game today. Genius's second game was entertaining but still not high level from his opponent.
Let's hope for some more interesting matches in the second part of the day.

People need to stop whining about Terran all-ins. They're more of a reaction to Zerg 14-hatch if anything else.

LMAO Terran here all I see is cheese in the form of scv all in. that wasn't remotely allin it's just a terran weapon Bringing SCVs in a push is only an all in if scans are used or offensive mules are called down far from a CC.
He didn't bring all SCVs in game 2, it's hardly all-in to bring workers if it can at least guarantee you a dead hatch.

You'd usually term that for a stable play with a follow up (e.g. hit at a colossus timing then expand), but the majority of Terran plays off one base today were completely all-in: 4rax twice, thor repair, bio/raven/scv, and the rine/tank/scv game vs Genius. Those were pretty much all win or lose with one attack.

Either way, 2 Rax is only really effective because of greedy zergs always going hatch first. When they stop doing that, 2 raxes will stop as well.

Well theres nothing to add HayprOs game. Maybe it was his nerves I dunno. He lost in a pretty harsh way.

The first game was just that coin flip of having the opponent 2 rax against his hatch first build while the second showed a really unorthodox build from the Terran. Well, at least Haypro qualified and shook of his first live broadcast jitters for SC2. At the very least, he made it further than Tester and tied HopeTorture/Rainbow, but I know he'll be back and better in the next major tournament.

using auto turrets to take baneling damage. Wow this guy was thinking way ahead.
|
Better luck next time, Haypro!
|
Hmm, just throwing something out. It seems to me that going hatch first only makes sense if you are going to get a fast baneling nest to protect it. If terran goes for a banshee, get queens or baneling bust.
|
Hmmm... auto-turret as baneling tanker... interesting
