Amazing thing about Kyrix that he adapts instantly to the situation and seems like he is comfortable with any units composition on the other hand Foxer seems struggling when he's not doing his usual marine thing.
Btw not a single baling for Kyrix in G2 :D

Who said anything about match fixing? Maybe he just didn't want everybody putting him under the microscope during GSL3 since there is a lot more prize money involved. I doubt that he lost intentionally but there is more than one reason to drop a game.

It doesn't matter whether you're doing it for profit or some other stupid reason, you're fixing the outcome of the match. And what other reason would there be to throw a money match other than someone offers you a whole lot more money to lose? I think he had some new builds he wanted to surprise Kyrix with and his nerves got to him, so he performed them very poorly.

His previous thor drops worked out pretty well. He used tanks effectively in the GSL2 finals. Marauders and ghosts made a big impact in the third game with Tester. If people are waiting for him to play a game without a single marine then I think they'll be waiting forever. It wouldn't make much sense for him to do that when it's a big part of his style of play.

I don't understand why optimus is listed as getting second place? It was BoxeR that played this tournament and I would assume after getting 2nd in GSL 2 and going to the finals in this tournament that liquipedia would have enough class to list the name he played under.

I think he should have stuck with the Thor drop he used in the GSL, this one was completely all-in, his build in the GSL was just to harass. I think if Kyrix didn't stay on 1 base so long and did the usual 14 expand business his Thor all-in would have owned.

Match fixing usually implies that the result has been organized though, and you suggested that it would put his career at risk. Deciding as the game starts that "meh, I'll just play around in this and if I lose then all the better anyway" isn't going to impact your career, especially in a minor event like this. There wouldn't be any evidence around to implicate you in anything illegal.
But anyway, my first impression is that he has trouble calming down during finals. He was clutch for about a minute when Kyrix was trying to end game two at the ramp, but during the rest of the series he didn't really seem like himself.

I'm just simply saying that if you're fixing the match, you're fixing the match you can't get around that. Unless the guy's already rich he has no reason to say "meh I'll just play around." All I'm saying is the only reason he would have to throw a match is if any sort of money was involved, and where his career is at he has no reason to even think about it. No one just messes around when there's 5.5 k is on the line. That would be insane.

Anyone know where I can find Korean VODs for the whole event (preferably NOT on the GOMTV site).

Foxer's the Terran Yellow, chokes whenever he's in a finals.

The assertions that Foxer wasn't trying his best or was saving some strategies are absolutely hilarious. Since he, unlike apparently many here, knows that even if he somehow was the favorite to win GSL 3, which he most certainly is not, he wouldn't be a big enough favorite to make up for the $5k he lost here. He just isn't nearly as good as some of you thought.

That's with Chinese commentary. I don't want Chinese commentary.
