Ok thanks, that makes sense.
by the way Tester is a total baller. edit: and yeah it seemed that players didn't take this tourney too seriously

It shows that all T units except marines are almost useless vs zerg unless you are cheesing or doing thor drops or something.

What's the prize distribution?
|
i doubt kyrix won 16k the prize is 13k so i think it could be something likethis
7k 3k 2k 1k

I think partly Foxer wants to try out new strat in this tournament so he could improve it for his GSL games. But, yeah, he played quite badly in these game, but that could also partly because he is not familiar with the strat he used yet.

michael someone, couldn't read it fast enough. anyone famous in blizzard named michael?

So it's 9k for kyrix, 3.6k for foxer and 900$ for s.sks. adds up to the 13.5k pp.

and look, 1T 1Z and 1P in top three, insertbalancecommenthere !!

There's Mike Morhaime, but that's not Mike Morhaime there.

1st drop on LT - Thor auto-targeted mutas even though DRONES WERE DOING MORE DAMAGE. -_-
2nd thor push - let zerglings surround thors as SCV were a mile away, thors died seconds later never being repaired...
final attack by roaches... didn't even try to repair. Wouldn't have worked anyway, but eh.
|
I love the middle Korean announcer... He's over the top and badass, Dresses like a baller, too.
|
These games showed how stupid the thor targeting is >< In one battle the thor didn't shot for like 3 seconds, foxer made it attack something but it still auto turned elsewhere to attack mutas and in the end didn't attack anything...

You can say what you like about Foxer playing poorly, but you have to give Kyrix some credit.
He took out Ensnare, Boxer, TheWind and Foxer without dropping a single game all tournament, that has to give him lots of confidence going into GSL3.

With Z on top, and P in the back. How appropriate. Truly, this tournament was a mini-gsl.
|
1st place Zerg, 2nd place Terran, 3rd place Toss
Well, the series was kinda disappointing to me, especially how SlayerSBoxeR lost against Kyrix. A little bit better decision making would have gotten us a Boxer v.s. Foxer semi-final.
|
Michael 0.o. Haha no idea. Maybe a Blizzard representative to the event or something.
I think Foxer will go back to being scary once he practises his new builds well enough though. That scv and thor error seems to show that he's just too use to playing with marines, because the scvs right in front are where you want them if you're going in with marines. Once he gets used to the relationship between thors and scvs, it's probably going to be a nightmare to play against him.

That is a big reach. I think he could be happy for Kyrix, I assume they are friends I seen some pic on gomtv floating somewhere of him and others watching Kyrix play for GSL 3 prelim.

Oh man I missed it.
*eagerly awaits vods/reps*
kyrix is looking pretty good... could he be our third zerg GSL winner?
