Not when there are back door rocks and stuff like that. You can hold it of with bunkers and repair in one choke, not when there are 2. You should just go 3 raks on maps like that or just veto them, they are horrible i think. Jungle Basin other than the rocks is a perfectly good map for TvP I think, yes It's annoying that those rocks got abused and I'm really quite annoyed that TLO went out so early. But, as with anything else, if something like that is in the map pool, people will abuse it. It sucks, but it's just the way it is sadly.
Its not just the rocks, they could easily solve the imbalance by making the natural a little bit higher than outside so that you could no do a straight warp in as where every other race has to spend 45 secs that early breaking down rocks.

Like I said in the live stream: you have to either know the new maps, or exclude them. There's no excuse for TLO not having vision at his rocks. Agree completely, he made a mistake. Though even if you see it, it is ridiculously hard to hold of a 4 gate on 2 possible fronts. With such strong all-semi ins (3 rax, 4 gate, etc) 2 entrances to the main is a very bad idea i think.

Would be so cool if blizz thought at all before releasing maps for ladder or gsl having a private map pool. i very much hope that before the "real" season starts they get their own map as the only ones i think are good right now are metal(which isnt actually symetrical) and shakuras.

JulyZerg got eliminated in the qualifiers by someone named GayBar. NaDa was easily beaten in the GSL Team Invitational. i wouldn't call them bad, but not as good as people who have been playing since early beta.

TLO just proved to me that he is capable of winning against top players in the GSL Tester and FruitDealer both had to deal with cheese early game and defended them. TLO doesn't deserve to be mentioned with them if he can't do the same. Remember that FruitDealer lost his expo hatchery against NexLiveForever and came back to win it. And we don't need to mention Tester's proxy gateway defense... Tester didn't defend the cheese in GSL2 though
By that you mean he lost to a timing attack because he was not familiar with it?
I have a hard time calling anything outside of 6 pool cannon rush on the main or early proxy barracks(pretty much gone now) or gates to be cheese. Everything later than that is basically timings or punishing someone for being greedy or hiding tech.

SangHo will probably end up being one of the finalists in GSL2.

by this logic of drawing conclusions with unsubstantial data, huk and whitera could also be considered inferior to me because i have a >50% win record against them on ladder but no actually. they are about three stories higher in skill than me.

Jk fruitdealer in ro16 although i haven't seen much of his pvz outside the inca matchup.

I doubt anyone who was proleague in bw is going to be bad once they have proper practice and a good team for a bit.

lol, you know julyZerg and nada were not on the A-teamer level for a long time(at least few years long), they are big names but they get beaten/crushed easily by any current A team progamer now days. Only reason they came to play GSL is because they saw COOL won the series last season who has never qualified from any major BW scenes and the pay is way better than BW.

Is it so they can finish the tournament before Blizzcon? No idea if it is that, but I hope it is.

That and the fact that sc2 seems like it favors the strategy portion of the game more so then the absolute perfection of mechanics that bw does at this state of each of the games.

They are not finishing the tournament before blizzcon it is so that the players that are going can have the free time to make it there and back in between rounds.
Blizzcon is this weekend so they moved some players games up so there was no conflict.

I'm not sure if those Korean a-teamers/ace players would dominate as hard, even if they have a few months of needed practice. I think the playing field would be more even in SC2, both in korea and outside korea. The potential skillcap in SC2 is IMO lower than SC1 since the mechanics aren't as tough so the world may be able to match Korea (Korea is still better at all levels atm) and those current BW a-teamers, with their superior macro/micro skills may not rape face.

lol.. what kind of thing are they doing I thought they were playing in 23 minutes and the games are done already :/ ?

umm NaDa has a winning win record (>50%) in 2010

Why are people complaining about the map pool?
Did I hear anyone of you mention game 2? IIRC, TLO abused the close rush distances on that map to all-in "Thor cheese" a win.
If TLO is really as good as all of you think he is, he wouldn't have been so easily baited into that choke in game 1 where his entire army got smashed. And adding tonnes of Thors in your army composition against Toss? Seriously?
Small details in SC2 set you apart unlike BW where gawdly mechanics and apm can set you far apart in skill.
His BO for game 3 was also VERY susceptible to any type of 4 gate timing push. He spotted the forward pylon, reacted terribly and got rolled.
If he's such a great player, his decision making, game sense, and general gameplay should be miles ahead of where it is.
He might have a future in SC2, but currently, I don't even see him doing well in NA or EU events like MLG and IEM.
