Hi zergy people.
I normally use 5 for all hatcheries and S for select larvae.
However, I noticed two things.
if I had my hatcheries on a more convenient hotkey(eg. F,G, on the same row as the other keys i use often) I spent my money better because it was easier to remember to produce.
I experienced some slight fatigue in pressing 5s.
So I wanted to find out. What hotkeys do you use for hatches and select larvae to make units, what league are you in, and do you think you would spend money better if you had different hotkeys for those?
Edit: Also, what fingers do you use to hit those two hotkeys? Do you feel any fatigue doing so?
I realise this topic seems trivial and too small, but if there is a possibility of increasing your spending skill Just by changing hotkeys, I think that might be worth exploring.

I have them on 4, and most people seem to do the same. Master zerg. 4 is easy to reach (but so is 5 IMO, which I use for my queens).

I've been playing with hatches on 5 since WoL came out. (and select larvae on s) -> Master zergy <3

I hit 5 with index finger and "s" with ring finger. Is this normal too? Cause there's a little fatigue to me.

Tab for all Hatches, Q to Select Larva (units on Command Card follows Grid).
Caps Lock for Queens, S for Spawn Larva.

So tab with pinky and Q with ring finger? Doesn't seem that comfortable when I'm trying to press it now. I'm thinking of changing hatches to F because FS is really easy to press(at least for me), but I'd have to shift a lot of other hotkeys around.

3 for all my hatch and 4 for my main hatch and queen 5 for nat queen and nat hatch and so on and so forth. find the injecting part very easy. i use my middle finger to press 3 and 4 while my index finger presses the remaning numbers

Ever since the release of WoL ive been using 1 for my hatcheries and standard S for select larvae. Now im masters, its really whatever is most comfortable for you.
The rest of my hotkeys are
~ (0)- queens
1 - hatcheries
2 - main army
3 - special group (banelings, mutas, infestors)
4 - special group (vipers/corruptors, broodlords)
5 - nothing
6 - nothing
Mouse button one(7) - Some tech building im using for upgrades
Mouse button two(8) - Evo chambers
Q(9) - Special group (overseer, swarm hosts)
Since Q is only used to make a Queen, I change make queen to F, its a lot easier to reach

Yeah it's mostly a hotkey-layout-specific arrangement. As far as fingers go, if you're good with your pinky, then pinky for Tab and Caps, if not, then ring finger.

Oh god, it's another hotkey thread. This will probably jump to like 8 pages instantly of people yelling out their favourite hotkeys and giving hotkey advice.
Which isn't bad in itself. It just happens every 2 weeks on this forum.
I use Idra hotkeys (4 hatches, 5-8 queens), which are perhaps outdated and not very good anymore.

Im in plat and i use 1 for army 2 for all hatches and 3 for units that requiries micro (like mutalisk or banelings) S for production.

9 for hatcheries, 4-8 for queens (if more queens I manually select them)
Works pretty great once you get used to it.

Master here.
Hatches on 1 (middle finger)
Select Larvae on Q (index finger)
..drone hotkey on Q too. 1QQ to enter macro mode. Other units hotkey left side of keyboard too.
As someone said already, whatever change you pick as your favourite you might as well rethink your overall hotkey layout around it.

grid yo. select larve is just q and you get used to pressing it alot cause its many different commands.

Didnt realise that so many people apart from me also had hatches on 1 (masters)
and all queens are on 2 for camera inject
units 3+
