probably not. Its pretty low on the to-do list, really busy right now. I don't even have TheCore 2.0 video done yet.

Guys what do you recommend for next-previous sub-groups if I don't have 4-5th buttons on a mouse? I have TRM.

I use the middle(wheel) button to cycle (so no "back" button, only forward). Its not the most effective I guess but oh well - my side buttons on the mouse are practically unreachable.
E[ max(0, S-K) | S<K]*P(S<K) + E[ max(0, S-K)| S>K]*P(S>K) = E[0 | S<K]*P(S<K) + E[S-K | S>K]*P(S>K)

I'd go for \ or backspace or ] or = or Enter

You'll have to do a bit of shuffling, so its about what's more important to you. is next/prev more important than your 10th cg? your 9th? etc.

@lucifear
the most up to date stuff is on skydrive/dropbox. nothing under development, as far as files go, in the github.

More food for thought.

The best way to eliminate the 'reaching out' and 'finger travel time' phenomenon is to maximize the use of all the 3 modifier keys by moving the modifier keys to your mouse buttons. (Technically, the keyboard has 8 modifiers keys, but Starcraft can handle only three modifier keys.)

Requirements
- A mouse with buttons which are controlled by a separate internal hid device, or
- 3rd party software that binds mouse buttons to keyboard keys

Explanation
Less modifier keys for the keyboard hand means that more unique key combinations can be made. It's a waste to only use the 4th and 5th mouse buttons for next/previous subgroup. For example, consider the case when moving control and shift to the 4th and 5th mouse buttons:

Advantages
- More evenly spreads the keystroke pressing load from your keyboard hand(20+ keys) to your mouse hand(5 keys), (which should be your stronger hand anyway), which improves any bottleneck on the keyboard hand, is also healthier for your keyboard hand(rsi)
- you can use all the modifier combinations ('Alt', 'Alt-control', 'Alt-control-shift', 'Alt-shift', 'control', 'control-shift' and 'shift') now by using your both hands in unison, adding layers of keystrokes and thus a multitude of usable unique possible keystroke combinations which can eliminate the 'reaching out' phenomenon and minimize 'finger travel time' by moving more abilities to the keyboard home row
- No more pressing control-shift with the keyboard hand, so keyboard tilt is no longer required, easier typing in-game, especially considering the LotV 12 worker start soon

For maximum efficiency, all the modifier mouse buttons should be able to be pressed simultaneously, (2 mouse buttons in this case). This will depend on the mouse/person. If necessary, the right mouse button could be mapped to a modifier key. But if this is not possible/desired, even moving one modifier key to the mouse should be an improvement overall.

Thoughts?

I think it might be kind of awkward using your mouse buttons for too many things as you want your mouse to be as accurate as possible. Pushing side buttons puts stress on your hand or changes the position of your thumb. It's perfect for tab because all you are doing is building units.

SC2 skill primarily comes from mouse accuracy. Using extra buttons on your mouse that your keyboard could replace is the last thing you want to do.

So I take it you don't use your mouse buttons at all, as we all have already binded smart commands and choose ability to keys?

I have some keys on my mouse button, the only one I find intuitive to use being the scroll to activate a-move and patrol (and middle-click to halt), and even then most of the time I use the keyboard.

Unless you have a VERY ergonomic mouse, I wouldn't suggest using any modifier since it often requires a finger to move and hold a different position, which isn't what you want when going for accurate and consistent mouse movement.

Sure some "macro" keys o the mouse could be interesting, but I won't discuss them here since they're "illegal" as per Blizzard TOS (1 key 1 action) so you must do with the command scheme.

I use the left and right click buttons and that's all.

Very little hotkey changes from HotS to LotV. It will be very easy for you to update your version.

Why do you assume hotkey efficiency matters in a game like DOTA?

On a more serious note glad to see no major changes planned for LoTV since I just jumped to Core 2.0 and don't wanna re-re-re-learn hotkeys. :D
