If you remove the keycaps of the keys bedtween ALT GR and CTRL you may find this easier to do / quicker to locate without glancing down. I did that, but that is not the problem. Ok, I tried it again. I obv have to make sure to press ctrl+shift before the "I" key. Still feels difficult under stress situations and I can image it's easy to mess up the CGs. Well, I'll play with it a little more. Thanks.

Its just a matter of muscle memory. When you've been at it for a while it'll be easy. Remember, practice slowly and NOT under stress (against no opponent) and once you're comfortable, slowly increase the level of stress. NEVER consciously increase your speed, focus on accuracy and speed will come subconsciously.

So when a queen is attacking drops or phoenix (can be an action given or just auto-attack because the queen was idle when the enemy came close) she won't inject before finishing the current action, resulting in a delayed inject. In most cases, you would want her to go inject immediately regardless of what she is attacking. Am I missing something or is it expected when using this inject method ? @JaKaTaKSc2 Can you tell me about that? I have a same problem.

When a queen is attacking and you want it to inject right away, don't use shift. Its good to be flexible with your inject and react to the current game state. The non shift inject looks like this: - select queen control group ctrl shift p jump to base 1 i left click inject ctrl shift o jump to base 2 i left click inject ctrl shift i jump to base 3 i left click inject Personally I always inject this way because I value consistency over speed. When weighing the pros/cons you're basically looking at consistency vs speed. (I assume if you're a user of TheCore you give 0 fucking about how long something takes to learn and just want the best). My personal hotkey philosophy is to make the time sensitive things fast, and the non-time sensitive things consistent (non-reliant on game state). That means I have my 2 main army hotkeys on the home row as they are more time sensitive than macro which is more frequent, but is more about remembering to do it than doing it super fast (for the most part). Hope that helps

Is it worth it to learn the Random layout, or should I go with the Terran layout? How inefficient is it to play Protoss/Zerg on the Terran layout? Any worse than the stock hotkey switch?

I will try that way. | ||

Use the terran layout. It is specifically designed to make off-racing easy.

I'm starting to learn TheCore as part of re-entering starcraft world, figured this is the easiest way since I can't remember much from before :D Ok atm I'm using RRM. What baffles me a bit is why "attack" is on J which should be pressed with my pinky? I must be missing something big but it seems that attack move is something you would do a lot in sc2? Then why is this button on my least capable finger? Does it make sense to just bind J to one of my mouse buttons? (I have some spare ones on my thumb)

(I have some spare ones on my thumb) The Core is a very good basis, but you're welcome to make your own changes to it. For example The Core doesn't have any mouse key required because it's assumed some people don't have that option. Don't be afraid of moving few keys.

Am I using the wrong PRM, or is the sheet outdated? Which control group should I use for gate/star/robo? Thanks

Also watch out, if you use The Core 2, the group no.2 is actually on i/I.

I am currently switching to thecore 2.0, playing RRM. Is there any reason chronoboost is on M instead of P (like the mule for terran) ? I think I will correct that for me. Great work guys, you are awesome !

I think it'd be helpful for any who are learning both at the same time (like myself) to reference a list for each step that basically says "Here are the only keys you'll be using for step-1 of TheStaircase when using TheCore2.0 RRM hotkey profile".
