I've been an MMORPG player for a few years (wow patch 1.2) and ever since i've played with my keybinds in a peculiar way. I used my thumb for the modifiers. Since last November, i discovered the wonders of SC2 (a bit late, being 32) and one of the things i struggled the most was the mechanics, simply because it's a fast paced game. well, i came across TheCore around 2 weeks ago and the adaptation was almost immediate (since i'm used to thumb around mods) the reason for my post is to congratulate all of the team and say to all of the players out there: These guys and TheCore are so underated! keep up the good work :D

was looking at what you guys were doing for creep spread and applied the lessons for injects to it and wanted to share what worked for me. queen group on m ctrl o recall 1 i spread creep ctrl u set 1 ctrl h recall 2 j spread creep ctrl k set 2 this allows you to roll your hand and creates a logical connection between the free cam set and recall so that they are on the same row and easy to remember

If you're going to chain-set cameras, just don't let go off the alt key while setting the expo cameras. For other positions you can use the free cameras, which are set with ctrl+shift

it was a bit wierd for me too at the begining but u'll get used to it. i tried to turn it off but it messed the inject quite a bit since hatches weren't centered. been trying hte alpha version (which will be moved to main soon) since this morning and it's way better, the cams for rally points are simpler and u set them through CTRL+SHIFT and reccall through CTRL. when i took it off i used one of the mouse buttons for the center vision

I and u are ring, h and j are pinkie.

THIS!!! This is awesome! Easily the best creep free-cam setup I've tested! The genius trick is binding creep spread to BOTH i and j. Then, it really is just super simple. Let me break it down in uber detail: There are 2 methods that do essentially the same thing, just use different fingers. Method 1 uses more fingers at once, but requires a shift of all fingers to the left one key which may be awkward. Method 2 uses pinky and ring fingers heavily, but gets you back to home row faster than the first method, so the trade-off will depend on what's comfortable. 0a) set up your first creep camera with CTRL+U. 0b) set up your second creep camera with CTRL+K. *assuming ZRM* Nomenclature: f1 = Index Finger f2 = Middle Finger f3 = Ring Finger f4 = Pinky Finger method 1 (requires a shift of one key to the left of all fingers from home row during creep spread): 1) hold CTRL with thumb the entire time. 2) shift your f1, f2, f3, and f4 fingers to the left one key (f1 sits on O, f2 on I, f3 on U, f4 on H). 3) O (f1) - recall camera 1. 4) click creep tumor 5) hold I (f2) to initiate creep spread 6) move mouse to move camera accordingly, and mass click ground to spread creep. 7) U (f3) - reset camera 1. 8) H (f4) - recall camera 2. 9) click creep tumor 10) hold J (f3) to initiate creep spread 11) move mouse to move camera accordingly, and mass click ground to spread creep. 12) K (f2) - reset camera 2. 13) shift fingers right to go back to home row. method 2 (gets back to home row faster): 1) hold CTRL with thumb the entire time. 2) O (f2) - recall camera 1. 3) click creep tumor 4) hold I (f3) to initiate creep spread 5) move mouse to move camera accordingly, and mass click ground to spread creep. 6) shift your f2, f3, f4 fingers left one key (f1 on P, f2 on I, f3 on U, f4 on H). 7) U (f3) - reset camera 1. 8) H (f4) - recall camera 2. 9) click creep tumor 10) shift fingers back to home row (using f1 as the reference key that didn't move). 11) hold J (f4) to initiate creep spread 12) move mouse to move camera accordingly, and mass click ground to spread creep. 13) K (f3) - reset camera 2. So far I am leaning toward method 2. It feels really really smooth! I haven't quite figured out how to put your creep spreading queen into the mix here, that will come next. Try this out guys, I think it's a winner!

Awesome dual creep button idea. Here is what I think would optimize this even more: H- recall cam 1 U- spread creep I - set cam 1 J- recall cam 2 K- spread creep O- Set cam 2 Hold control 1) shift to the left. rest on(HUI) 2) H to to recall (f4) 3) U to spread (f3) 4) I to set (f2) 5) shift to the right. rest on (JKO) 6) J to recall (f4) 7) K to spread (f3) 8) O to set (f2) One gets to the home row fast, does not need to double press anything, and also the index and middle are not used right away. This is desirable because it means you can add things to a control group and go right into creep spread without repetitive finger strokes. In addition, queens can now transfuse with I. Edit: also this make pinkie always recall, ring always spread, and middle always set. Alternatively H - f4, U- f3, I -f2, J- f3, K - f2, O - f1 means your fingers stay in the same place.

So many options!! If you check the ALPHA doc and go to sheet 18, I am going to write down all the possibilities. I would love your help in evaluating pros and cons.

Update 1: because of adding queens into the algorithm, my first two ideas don't work. I think option 5 is the best bet right now. Update 2:Option 5 also allows I for transfuse, which is good because it is so time sensitive. In addition O is free to be a modifier for the queen CG. Update 3: Further, if not using the cams for spreading, then they are easily recalled and set close to the home key. They have the same relations: recall is two keys to the left and one key down from set. H recalls I and N recalls K.
