Im interested to know what the best thing to do to achieve this is. Is it to be hyper aggressive, to be cheeseproof ... tl;Dr is there a play style which will best get me from diamond to masters. The boring answer is to be better at everything. The difference between diamond and masters is that master players do everything diamond players can, only better; cleaner. You need to improve your mechanics (micro, macro, multitasking) and the best way to do so is to get intimate with 1 build per matchup and learn the ins and outs of it. Doing so will lead to cleaner build execution (less thought ingame means you can spend time on other things = better multitasking), more efficient macro, and your micro will improve naturally as you grind games. Standard is probably the best way to improve. Standard builds are mentioned in the OP under general.

Day9 lays the build out very clearly, I recommend you watch it yourself and try to learn as much as you can. Pure bio isn't very good for the vast majority of players, the simple answer is biotank.

Bomber's build is fast expand into quick double gas, reactor hellions, CC and then double upgrades, and then you move into standard marine-tank with a ton of barracks, 2 factories, and a starport. You take your third as soon as possible and push out at 2/2.

2 months in sc2, I think not attacking till the 10min mark is a bit boring and early aggression lets me dictate the gamepeace (slower tech opponent and mapcontrol). So i want to focus on some early aggression so i can practice some micro (stutterstep) and multitasking (micro/macro) at the same time. I want 3 builds that are not all-ins, 1 for each race, i was thinkin about : TvZ: Proxy 2 rax into expand (Taeja/Marineking) TvT: Thorzain build (looks alot like filterSC but with neath timings and can practise the tank micro/positioning) TvP: 2 rax marauder/marine pressure into expand (marineking) Are these 3 openings still viable strategies in sc2 atm?

Those are decent builds to start with, but I'll also recommend other builds that let's you practice pretty much the same thing. TvP: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=340463 I use this one and follow it up with +2 barracks and an engi bay for +1 attack after the cc, it's a great build that isn't all-in but has high chances of killing workers, and it requires a lot of multitasking. Your build is also good for practicing attacking while macroing, but it's used very rarely, the one I linked is more common for good reasons. TvT: Any kind of banshee opening with a pretty fast expansion, I go gas first -> single banshee w/o cloak-> expo, that's another pretty common build and it's great for practicing attack+macroing. With the thorzain build you'll start attacking much later, but it's still a pretty good build.

I see banshees as a bad all-in against terran because marines can shoot air and are just so cheap. I myself have never had problems taking out early banshees when i did an 1raxFE and 2nd, I don't have upgrades with this build. Against terran is really hard to early harras as a terran seeing marines and bunkers (savable) are so cheap.. early pressure in tvt is just plain hard...
